  1. Glad 2 here you caught a few cohos. We caught a few small browns in ten fow between the state park and Sandy & had one screamer we never got a look at - all spoons. Boat issues kept us shallow.
  2. Just what I was looking for - thank you. I'm going to try this with a pair of small browns we caught today.
  3. Good to know, Michele. Thank you. I'll have to stop in the next time I'm in the neighborhood.
  4. Looks like I'll be "borrowing" my wife's Ipad.
  5. Sounds like you'd have to have an expert take a look to tell for sure. Did a little research and I had no idea there were so many possibilities. Everything says about the same thing - cooking properly will kill any parasites and decide for yourself if you want to eat it.
  6. What do they look like (tan grub, red spiral worm, etc...)? I searched "parasite" and found some previous threads. Basically parasites aren't unheard of, cooking or freezing kills them, they don't transfer to people but if there's more than a few, most people would rather pass...
  7. In New York, it's illegal now. Feeding wild bears has led to too many issues later when they lose their fear of people.
  8. What do they look like (tan grub, round spiral worm, etc...)? I searched "parasite" and found some previous threads. Basically parasites aren't unheard of, cooking or freezing kills them, they don't transfer to people but if there's more than a few, most people would rather pass...
  9. You didn't rebuild your boat to get rid of the bloodstains, did you?
  10. We tried briefly last night east to past Shipbuilder's. Marked a number on the bottom in 40 fow but didn't get a single hit. Got rained on twice and called it quits just bfr dark.
  11. I was just giving a buddy a hard time. I don't remember offhand if I've used lead out with Jolly or Legacy. I do remember one on copper - and not being able to feel my arm by the end.
  12. But I LIKE reeling in 900 feet of line for a 3lb fish!
  13. Sorry but REALLY bad idea. We have bear here too and even the tamest forget sometimes - just feeding them can create problems down the road, for the bear if not the residents too.
  14. Et tu, Hanke? They call it "applying for rehabilitation" - can be free, $200 or $1000, depending on severity of conviction(s) and length of time without one: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/informatio ... 12ETOC.asp Talk about complicated: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/informatio ... tation.asp I'll use myself as an example. I have a single conviction from 1990 for DUI, fine paid & loss of license for 90 days (no damage involved). I learned an expensive lesson - if you've had ANYTHING to drink, don't offer to be the one to drive your buddy's car home for him. I didn't know it had a headlight out. I can apply to be assessed by a visa office to be "deemed rehabilitated" by filling out a form and providing comprehensive documentation regarding the conviction - no fee involved. The process can take up to a year. If I choose not to do that, I can just show up at the border and hope they don't ask. I can also just show up, bringing all of this: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/f ... M5507E.pdf and ask for them to waive the $200 fee once (ever). If they refuse, I can pay their $200 processing fee or turn around and go home. I'll probably just send in the form and forget about about it until my wife wants to go to Toronto for the first time.
  15. You're from Avon? Me too, technically - we moved when I was 5.
