  1. You got it - launch fee's six or seven bucks. Good luck, we'll either be there or Sandy Creek tomorrow if the waves cooperate.
  2. Are you using the same on the flies you tie for yourself?
  3. Haven't tried the Sufix personally so let me know what you think. I'm trying 12lb P-Line CXX this season on a pair of Penn 209s, Charlie's got 15lb Trilene Big Game on his Okuma Magdas and I think we're using 8lb Stren for leaders and cheaters. Sounds like it was kind of rough this morning. We should be out tomorrow am.
  4. Try to catch Troutman 87. He's been cranking out 12 lb torpedo weights that have been popular with many site members.
  5. Please do. We usually run East to the pier at Webster Park and back but haven't been able to get out in a couple weeks.
  6. Much appreciated. I have Jim's (fishkiller16) contact information as well.
  7. I'm trying your wire (7-strand) and divers for the first time this season. Looking forward to it...
  8. I've got a buddy that's been into crossbows for years, using them successfully for bear and boar in Canada. I enjoy plinking with them - they're fun and accurate. For deer, I personally prefer my compound. The crossbow doesn't reach out any farther, is loud when fired, heavy and unwieldy. It has two real benefits I see: a scope and you don't get stuck at full draw playing peek-a-boo with a deer behind a tree. I wouldn't mind them in the woods during bow but I'll stick with my Mathews.
  9. Mr. Miserable? I haven't stopped there in ages - have there been issues?
  10. That's three or four weeks earlier than last year. See you out there...
  11. Atomik carries 5000' spools of 7-strand AFW.
  12. That'll work, I've got a 10' Cabela's dipsy rod, Okuma 30D and 1000' of 7 strand Torpedo wire I can throw together - I just need to add a twilly tip. The dilemma now is what to do with a 7' 1101 ugly stick and 300 yards of 50lb power pro I just picked up. I'm stuck between adding another 30D to get a braid dipsy rod or a 45D so we can run lead down the chute. I could do a full core or split it and add tordeo divers to increase the depth when needed.
  13. What reel (30, 45) and rod length are you using for your wire now? Do you need a twilly tip?
  14. That last is a football. Nice day with the family.
  15. +1
  16. Bloodshot just posted an EZ Steer if you're still looking
  17. We've gone with Legacy twice out of Sandy Creek and had a blast.
  18. Yeah - trying to talk myself into a 45 to go along with the 30 I bought for Christmas. See you on the water.
  19. Someone posted this place for good Fish Hawk prices but their Okuma rates are the best I've seen lately: http://www.northwoodsoutlet.com/oscomme ... ts_id=4097
  20. Thanks, Glen. Just the quote I was thinking of.
  21. Legacy switched over to Okuma recently - see if he chimes in.
  22. Google some more there Mort. He already owns that, he's looking for a type of replacement cord that will work better than the original. It's my reading comprehension that's lacking...
  23. +1, although I haven't seen the certificate in years.
  24. Is this what you're looking for? http://www.fish307.com/scotty3025weightretriever.aspx
