  1. The two biggest points I see are these: "Reduce the limit of rainbow trout from five to one in the western Finger Lakes and three to one in the tributaries to provide further protection for this species. Western Finger Lakes include Seneca, Keuka, Canandaigua, Canadice, and Hemlock Lakes. Remove the restriction of no more than three lake trout as part of the five trout limit in the western Finger Lakes to foster harvest opportunities and reduce competition with other trout species and impacts on the forage base." This would affect a lot of LOU members - what's your opinion?
  2. If I knew I was going in the water, that's what I'd choose to be wearing.
  3. Yep - waivers don't negate any rights assigned by law. Had a lawyer review an old landlord agreement I'd signed and he got a chuckle out of all the rights the landlord wanted me to think I no longer had.
  4. I saw the tactical at the Kittery Trading Post in Maine last season and my wife caught me taking a picture of it. I've got their old MQ32.
  5. Check the classified section here. I think there's a few still posted for sale, already loaded with wire.
  6. That's the ones. Thanks, I'll grab a few. Standard white, green, glow combos?
  7. Does it apply to the Senate as well? I've met a few - ever seen a poor Senator?
  8. We're learning that. Spent more in one year gearing up for trolling than I've spent in five hunting.
  9. I'm finding these at about half the price of the competition but has anyone tried them yet? We've only got a couple Pro-troll and Dreamweaver at this point and looking to add to the arsenal.
  10. I've had salmon here, California, Scotland & Ireland. Each is delicious but completely different - I love fresh seafood!
  11. I'll have to experiment and try a tank: http://pure-gas.org/index.jsp?stateprov=NY
  12. Irish salmon, fresh caught in the North Sea, scalding-hot chips & malt vinegar at Beshoff's in Howth, Co. Dublin! Ok - I'll have to try spring coho this year...
  13. Scotty makes a release connected to heavy rubber ring to do the same thing - think it was $6.99 @ Gander the other day.
  14. +1. Used a coupon at Dick's this summer and got a nice Ranger that when collapsed, will sling across my back. Extended, it's long enough for reaching the water from a pier or high bank (like Ellison Park). I'd intended on using it from the boat as well but took advantage of Captain Larry's Beckman offer.
  15. Seems like $100 for a decent used rod & reel (spooled with wire) is the going rate. I grabbed one from Legacy (of the three) and used a Cabelas gift card to get a second. By the time I add wire and twilly tip, I'm probably at $160 for new.
  16. Legacy has two wire combos posted for sale. Somebody else had Tecotas posted but not sure if they sold yet & Times Two posted a pair of Okuma wire rod & reel combos. Take a look in the Classified forum to see what's out there...
  17. If you want a Beckman for Musky or Kings, look up mostlymuskies thread titled "LOU Beckman net deal". You can grab one for about 60% of retail if he puts another order together when he gets back from his trip. If you just want their direct company info, it's complicated, Beckman is part of Pradco Outdoor Brands, which is a division of EBSCO Industries, Inc. (along with a bunch of other familiar brands).

  19. Can't find a transom photo at the moment but a kicker might just fit. I'll bounce this off my fishing buddy, the boat owner, and go from there. Thanks for the input.
