  1. I've always liked 20 - 25 fow, off the mouth of Shipbuilder Creek, just east of I-Bay. All kinds of stuff come through there and it was a great spot for smallmouth, back in the day.
  2. Cool - that was my favorite spot for smallmouth in the eighties. Read a thread here somewhere that the bite had died off in that vicinity.
  3. Let it grow - then make trolling flies out of it. Call it the Nostril Nailer.
  4. That's a BIG brown.
  5. St. Lawrence, west shore of Wellesley Island.
  6. I agree - that would be handy for someone like me. The drawings are always perfectly distinct and the real fish, not so much. Just look at the disagreements over fish identification from photos posted here.
  7. I'm guessing 75 yards for a .22lr, 125 yards for .22 magnum. Might be less than that - anyone have the ballistics handy?
  8. Ahh - I understand now. You're right; you're stuck until they call.
  9. I've considered part time at Dick's, Gander or Bean but it'd probably cost me more than my paycheck every month.
  10. Irish - you really got to get yourself a job...
  11. My fishing bud must have gotten the right cashier - he grabbed a pair and they rang him out at $50 each. Not sure what location but that was a week ago - maybe they fixed their pricing. Yesterday, I went back to Victor and grabbed a Coleman 10x10 screen shelter - marked down to $80, then 50% off, then used a $10 off $50 coupon (added a Rage Cage). Think it was the last on the shelf though.
  12. Always happy to see a local business stay in action. Glad you're still here.
  13. I've used a .22 magnum at 50 yards but most seem to prefer a .223, .22-250, etc...

    Conesus...

... and I was going to try icefishing, finally. At this rate, we might as well try St. Regis - do you still go up for Memorial Day, Kurt?
  15. Thanks, Hank - so S5921 would PREVENT New York from using federal Wildlife Fund monies for unrelated purposes. I love how our license fees were just raised by 40% and now the state government wants to steal the federal funds (that we all contribute to) as well.
  16. Dick's Sporting Goods in Victor has a Tite-Lok Triple Deck Mount with 3 - 5710' rod holders marked down to $50 - $139.99 marked down to $99.99 and then 50% off. I didn't see any in Webster. Grab 'em while they're hot!
  17. I've got a buddy in Summerville that might sell a pair cheap. Want me to ask?
  18. Enjoy your trip to Guyana and I'll see you next month for my net.
  19. Much appreciated. Thank you.
  20. I don't mind waiting for the second round - just hold on to one of the covers for me and I'll collect em all.
  21. I'll still be there - and I'll take one of the covers as well. See you tomorrow.
  22. Dumb question - when everyone mentions using fluoro leaders, you're talking about using fluorocarbon fishing line as the leader, not the specialized Fluoro leader used for fly fishing (which is apparently spun from gold, based on the cost), right?
  23. Lifetime supply from Jolly I?
