  1. No, thank you. I served on the board of the local dart league for two years and will never make that kind of mistake again. Participation can be fun; management is work.
  2. I was wondering the same. I'm not in the market but when I am, this is pretty much what I want.
  3. All comes down to a person's ethics. My father (who's no longer with us) was a trader at at heart and firmly believed in Caveat Emptor - "Let the buyer beware". He'd sell you a nickel for $20 if you were dumb enough. That said, he never broke a fish or game reg in his life and kept me fishing the old ESLO derbies in the eighties so he'd have a witness when he finally caught "THE FISH". He never did. I was about twelve when I proudly brought home a small brown trout for dinner - cleanly shot in the head with my bb gun. It was a hell of a shot. I got to eat it - and lost my gun, my freedom and some of the hide on my butt. It's mostly how you're raised.
  4. +1
  5. Welcome, Vadim. You have more boat than I do - I hitch a ride with a buddy. From what I've seen (and read here), your biggest concern is handling in any waves and how quickly you can get back to safety when the weather changes suddenly for the worse. My guess, on Lake Ontario you're looking at only perfect weather (<1 ft waves) and staying 15 minutes at full throttle from safety. Someone more experienced will speak up if they disagree.
  6. Nice job. never seen one that size here...
  7. A treasure trove of trout....
  8. 3 rods got signed a week or two ago. The point restriction was per pole and stayed the same. Webster guys got to stick together - I grew up north of Klem, near Bay. Spent my spare time fishing any creek within hiking distance.
  9. Ditto - would selfishly miss your reports. glad everyone's ok.
  10. Nice boat. Looks like the posted asking price is $14,000.
  11. Not this year; Sciatica issues. There's a couple locals posting at the moment but Snagger's the most consistent.
  12. Salmon River - read Snagger's last post: viewtopic.php?f=9&t=26960
  13. Don't take her to Paul. He'll bring her back to life - permanently.
  14. Sounds like they had a decent run of salmon on the Salmon River Wednesday with the water levels rising. Keep that in mind this weekend while looking for staging fish.
  15. Lol - saw that last year. Some guy ruined a perfectly nice $30,000 pickup...
  16. Beautiful fish - and I second the kudos for helping out. Might be me some day...
  17. Been discussed in detail many times. Use the Search function to check the specifics...
  18. I've been doing similar shopping. Frabill don't seem as sturdy as the Ranger line to me. Beckman seem to be considered the best but at twice the cost. I'm looking for the perfect size Ranger.
  19. fishing solo = life vest. **** happens...
  20. I like the way you spend your time.
  21. I'm curious to see what that kind of weather did to the thermocline.
  22. Yeah, that'll get you goin'
  23. Tomorrow is a good day to sleep. Didn't realize until today that you weren't local to Sodus. Love the almost real time play-by-play - thanks.
