    I'll be getting t-shirts done up again this year, same design in the previous two years only this year they will be on a green shirt. I will also be getting the Salmon Slam logo on a white tank top. I will post again in the next day or two regarding the prices, but if know you'd like any, please send me a PM with how many of what style and desired sizes. The order will have to be by the 25th at the latest... I know it's short order, but the summer kind of got away from me! Thanks ~Joe

    Bite has been great, walleye are gorging themselves on perch right now. So like colored bucktails (or the old stand-by black, purple) trailed with a crawler, or blade baits, have been the ticket. Coming out of Charlies you're right in the middle of the action...

    you can pick occasional kings anytime from May thru June, but numbers start showing anytime from late June til mid July, lots of variables - winds, temps, bait, etc....

    lots of them very close to the launch - Best Western and Quality Inn right on the east side of the river only a mile or so from Wrights Landing. Many more, just google for them. Fishing is GOOD now too

    I've also been looking to upgrade my ff this spring, run an older Lowrance X17 for years and never cared much for it. I was torn between the Dragonfly and Furuno 587 and finally decided on the Furuno due to the Dragonfly's small 5" screen. Now I see the D.F. is coming out with a 7" display and I'm right back to having to make a decision again. Anybody have any experience with the Raymarine Dragonfly on Lake Ontario????

    I was wondering the same thing today. I called up there and she told me the launch was still going to be open, but she wouldn't promise a parking spot for a truck/trailer. She said you can call when they open at 4:00am and see if there will be room to park. 343-8430.

    Big part of the reason I didn't get in was due to the observer.... Not at all that I'm against it, it's a good idea, just can't find anyone to commit to a whole weekend of riding on someone else's boat. It's hard enough for me to put a fishing team together Yeah, I could probably pay someone to do it, but costs add up. I did fish the A-Tom-Mik Challenge and will be fishing Little Salmon River next week and Fair Haven Challenge in August....because I don't need an observer.

    I was going to post the same thing, I happened to be in Tractor Supply last night and was checking the stuff out - until the warning on the bottle said it can absorb through your skin and cause some serious health issues I'll stick with the deet and keep swatting for now.....

    No problem Nick, they seemed to go over good last year. They will look just like Nick described them, his avatar on the back of a gray t-shirt. The tag on one of last years shirts says it is 100% pre-shrunk cotton - but like everything else, I think mine from last year shrunk a little (my wife has a different opinion )

    I will be getting t-shirts made up for those that would like them again. They will be the same design as last year on a gray shirt this time. Price will remain the same, $10 per shirt. If you'd like any, just PM me how many and the sizes. I need to get the order by July 22. Thanks... -Joe
