Rod Holder question

Was finally able to get some friends I used to work with from Kodak out. Stayed in close since the lady mentioned she has gotten sea sick before and she has never been salmon fishing. Set up in 130 and headed west. Saw a few boats in same area. Riggers set 80, 70, 60, 50. Wire out 180 and 200 on 2 setting. 60 rigger (DW 2 face) released 3 times in 20 minutes but no one home. 70 rigger (Mag 42 gold) 1 release with no one home. Just started to eat our subs and 180 wire (white double crush SD/hammer fly) starts screaming. I hand it to the lady and she was like what do I do. I tried to coach her while I cleared all the other rods since I didn’t want any crossed lines with rooking fighting her 1st king and a rookie driving the boat. She did good fighting the fish but she tired out so we gave the rod to the other guest. Fish had a big lamprey stuck to it. Reset all the lines and trolled back to port. Marked a lot of bait and lots of fish around bait. Screen lit up around 70fow when it was almost dark out. I was a little disappointed I couldn’t get them on more fish but 1 is better than none and my buddy was happy to take home a fish. Good luck out there guys/gals! BreakingBass yes we were around that area. Saw about 3 other boats out there. 1 big Trojan, 1 trophy and didn’t get a look at the other. We were fishing out of my coworkersStarcraft Islander. Haven’t fished for salmon out of I bay before. I go out of Sandy or Braddocks. Hope you guys had a good day! Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United

Left my boat at home and went with 2 guys from work on a coworker’s boat. Brought my dipsey rods since he didn’t have any. Fished mostly 140 fow. Went 6-7. 3 kings, 2 lakers and 1 rainbow. Spin doctor/fly on wire took all but 1 fish. Wires set 180 and 210 on 2 setting. Only 1 spoon fish. Better than working! Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United

I have to agree with SK8MAN. Jeremy is a class act. I sent him a private message about his boat and he was very helpful and even offered up a ride. That is amazing in my mind. Jeremy along with Yankee Troller have always answered any question I have asked and that means a lot about a person in my mind. Speaks volumes about the sport but also speaks volumes about some ones character. I know there is many others guys that help and we are all so lucky to have people like that on this site! I am trying to help an older couple in my neighborhood sell their boat before they move to Florida. I went over last night to check it out. They can’t find the key. Any idea where they can get a key for a 1984 Starcraft boat? Do they call Starcraft or a local boat place? Or even a locksmith? I want to help them but with no key it will be hard to sell. Finally was able to get my dad back out after a long hiatus due to medical issues. My son tagged along also. Fished 5:30pm till 8:30 pm. 100 - 200 fow. 150 fow had best screen at 8pm. Dipseys 210 and 180 with SD/fly took no hits. Smaller king on 85 rigger 42nd SD/42nd fly. Laker on 50 rigger NK mag, silver on 1 side and gold on back side. Bigger king rigger 70, 42nd/gold mag. Screen was great around 8:30 but decided to head in before dark. 3-3 with dad and son was a win. Dad fought small king but didn’t want a pic. Son fought the bigger king and laker. No flies and very little fleas. P.S launch on west side is now $6 for arm to go up. So $12 which is more expensive than east side ($9) M-Th. Fri- Sun east side is $13.
