  1. Had 52 down 80. But with strong currents and my success last night at 80 I kept my riggers parked there instead searching for temp. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  2. What a change from last night. Buddy from Long Island came up for a local fire dept event. We fished this same day last year. Both times he got to fish in rough waters. He caught what he came for and my son got a bonus laker. Fished 100-150. Both fish on wire dipseys 225 and 270. Flasher Fly. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  3. Shallow in channel but doable Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  4. Went out for a quick trip. 3-4. 100-150 FOW. 1 J plug release and 3 in boat were flasher flys. Riggers 80 and 215 on wire dipsey. Back at it in the AM. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United

  8. I am 99% sure was no boat was on fire near Braddocks. There was a call for possible male on a boat in distress but that call was cancelled by the fire dept shortly after. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  9. I think they mean inside as in fishing shallow and outside as in fishing deeper water. If I am wrong someone please correct Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  10. Hooks that bent or broke were ones that came with the Atomik flies. I tie my own fly harnesses now using addya hooks and haven’t had an issue yet. I am not saying anything bad about atomik, I just use my own harnesses now. The fish last night got unhooked and the hooks were still in great shape. He either did a great job getting loose or me slowing the boat down didn’t help to keep more tension on it. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United

  12. Took a brother from the fire service out from 4-8:15pm. Was choppy when we started but calmed down as night went on. Fished 95-120 whole time. 6 rod spread. 2 wire dipseys 210/220 and 2 riggers stacked. Had at least 6 knock offs on spoons off the riggers. Buddy finally got one hooked. NK mag on 83 rigger. Sorry for the crappy pic. He had trouble holding it and I wanted it back in water ASAP so I only took 1 pic. Little while later I had a screamer on the 210 wire. Fished jumped multiple times and took a few runs out to 550 on line counter. I slowed the kicker down to gain some line. Seemed like fish was starting to give up and all of a sudden line went limp. Thought he broke off. Reeled line in and fly was intact, treble and octopus were good and still sharp. I have had a few treble hooks break or bend on flies before. Maybe it was slowing the boat down the killed me or maybe it was karma for busting my buddies balls for taking forever to get his king in and not knowing how to hold it up. Had few more spoon releases on the riggers. Lost another one that took the flasher/fly off the deep rigger 95 and right into the wire. Didn’t loose any tackle and had some laughs. Marked fish and bait mostly 70-90 over 95-120. 2 other boats working the same area. Had 49 water 77 down. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United

  16. I took a day off from salmon fishing to take wife and kids bass fishing. Tried Watoma shoals with no luck. My odds are better at catching salmon then bass. I hear they are big but you might catch a few instead of a lot. Guy at the dock said he caught some in Braddocks. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United

  18. Took some buddies out 4-8pm. Started out bad with wire dispey hit that got tangled with rigger rod.. Lost the fish, and a fly. Had to cut out some wire and mono and tie some swivels. While trying to untangle that mess dipsey on other side got tangled in other rigger rod. Current seemed to be going north. Switched to a 4 rod spread and buddy landed 1 on dipsey. Lost another one on rigger. Had a few other dispey hits that were short. Few spoon releases but nothing. Fished 100-130. 49 degree water 92 over 112. I didn’t land the fish, I just had my picture taken before it went into the live well. SD/fly continues to out fish spoons for me. Buddy lost 2 fish and was driving during both tangles so he got his balls broken. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United

  20. Since I had 2 kids and 1 being new to fishing I stayed deeper than I would like but with some rough waters I figured away from the pack was better incase the kids needed to take the wheel at some point. Worked 200-300 from 5:30-till 10ish. 3 dinks on wire dipseys (SD/Fly) 210 out with 2 setting. Biggest came off rigger down 70 with flasher fly. Poor netting by me caused it to get away. Son was not happy with me. Some fish is better than no fish. Congrats to Whalers son for landing a nice one. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United

  24. Renting a house with the family on Honeyoe for a week and was wondering if anyone would share any tips so my kids could catch some bass and pike. Any certain spots, depths and lures to use? I only know about using plastic worms around the docks. Can you catch walleye there during the day or night and where? Thanks for your help! 25. I remember a few years ago I bought one of your rigs and never fished for Lakers before. Put in down and within 10 minutes had a nice laker. Anyone that wants to catch lakers Gambler Rigs are a must have. Nice job and congrats! Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
