Had a great weekend with over thirty fish landed.... lots of good laker action with fish averaging 6-8 pounds. We landed a couple of smaller browns and a bunch of rainbows, with our biggest rainbow taking 5th on the board, weighing in at 7.3 i believe.
Most of the lake trout came in 40-60 fow with lures near bottom. Riggers with bright colored spoons, mainly red eyes and alpeana diamonds. Copper out 150-250 took the majority, rigged with flat fish and trolled SLOOOOW. Nothing on the spinny combos.
Bows came in deeper water, high in the column, and off lead core and riggers. All NK mag spoons, blue and silvers.
We had a 2 mile stretch on the east side that was full of bait and fish, HUNGRY fish!
Released all but one laker and that rainbow...
Monday at about 1030 we lost the biggest laker Ive seen come out of Seneca... it hit the rigger and got to the boat when the hook pulled. The beast sat there about two foot from the end of my net just looking at me! Would have been derby winner or at least close!!!
The two biggest Bows...
And the lakers...
