  1. Good job getting on some fish. Did you see any colored water in close? Thought there would be some with all the storms.
  2. Strange how that happens, marks on graph = no hits, and vice versa. Nice size on those fish!
  3. The video is running at real time speed (except for the one section slo-mo). I was keeping the down speed (Moor) at 2.5, and SOG was around 2.9 on our Lowrance. I was surprised that our Sting Ray was spinning at 2.5, but it seemed to produce some looks and a couple strikes.
  4. Yeah, pretty easy to do yourself. Hero 2 good to 197' New ones good to 131'
  5. About 5' Any longer and clarity of the vid is poor.
  6. Went out of I Bay Friday, 5/29. Surface temps were around 52, and it seemed like everytime we found 47 degrees with the probe (parked at 90') we were taking hits. Most productive was around 110 FOW. Finished 9 for 11 with one King, 4 lakers, 4 Steelhead. Was an all spoon bite, and the darker colors produced the most hits. Took one Steelie on a flat line and he was doing back flips behind the boat before we could grab the rod. Was pretty calm except for an occasional tug boat wake. Got some underwater action on GoPro:
  7. If you have a probe, what were you seeing for down temps?
  8. Good job finding them with just a couple hours to spend. Welcome to the forum.
  9. First time out of this bay, many thanks to Chris (momay4000) for some tips and info on the area. Nice to have great people on this site willing to help. Went 8 for 10, with 6 Kings landed, plus two LT. Biggest King around 17, LT were both around 11. Fish were mostly around bottom, see graph pic. Worked the inside waters most of the morning. DW SS Midnight Special did most of the damage, as well as Monkey Puke and Green Alewife. All spoon bite, as we ran just one SD/Fly and it never went even though we changed it out a couple times. As we headed out saw a couple guys launching a center console Trophy, and gave them some info on what we had been seeing out there.
  10. I like it. Have used the 30lb. on reels a few times and no issues.
  11. Coast Guard dock not in, so we went back to Margaretta Rd. Started in close with sticks, as we approached Maxwell the debris near the creek from all the rain was fouling our baits, so we moved out. Got out as far as 110' and hooked a Steelie down 40 on a spoon. Soon after got blown off the lake as some 5 footers were rolling in. Was happy with the shake down, boat ran great and our new tools worked great as well. Skippers new tow Toy, and our new Elite 7.
  12. Sounds like a pretty good first day out. Where did you launch? Is the coast guard dock in yet?
  13. Just tell her "It was SHRINKAGE!"
  14. Find any colored water out there? How was the surface temps?
  15. Make sure you have metal to metal contact from the top eye of the unit to your coated cable. Are you using a "clincher" style connector for that? New 9V battery in unit?
  16. Good job on them! Were you finding them down around 100?
  17. Ingenuity never ceases to amaze me. Great job on getting that ready for fish, then putting it to em!
  18. I think that leader was around 24", and it was hooked to the "fin" side of the SD = less action? I have been lengthening the leaders a little at a time.
  19. Good luck today! What are you showing for down temps?
  20. Late posting this, but got out last Friday and we went 4/7. Landed one mature King on SD/Fly, also one BT about 5 Lbs, another King around 10 Lbs., and one skippy. Took some big rips on the wires, but only landed one. Were fishing mostly in 140 FOW, with DR set at 110, wires with Mags were out 210. Caught the Skipper in action on one of the Kings: Also got some good vid of the action under the boat.
  21. On our FF, we have the ability to display the voltage on the screen. If yours has this ability, put it up and watch it.
