Thank you ,les and yeah I have been working on my smile!!! Wind and time kept me from exploring more but I can say a solid pattern is setting up just in time for the crazy weather snap this weekend that will rip it all apart I'm sure hahahahaha Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app

The two lake fish a lot alike don't give up and don't lose confidence. Keep At it and keep trying. Slides on riggers 5 and 7 color cores and then deep divers tend to produce this time of year lakers can be very vulnerable this time of year just need to find them is all I noticed this morning that early early on the lakers were hugging I mean hugging the bottom went back through that same area later on mid morning and they all Lifted up off the bottom generally that means active fish but I was searching for silvers and also picking up rods at the same time so did not try and get those fish to bite. Good luck out there Joe Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app

Well what better way to celebrate my birthday then good times on the water..... Launched bright and early had limited time so stayed south!! Action was not as fast and furious as most years around this time but we found a few!!! Got 3 salmon 1 brown and 2 lakers had 10 bites total!!! 6-10 not the best record one laker was I the LARGE class though. All in all good times had on the water and can't wait to get back out still struggling with deer hunting or fishing tough to pick between them!! Good luck to all on the water smaller of the two lakers locked up with in the picture. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app

My last trip produced lots of salmon and bows but that was a few weeks ago now also. But sliders on riggers with smolt sized finger lakes tackle spoons and also 7 color lead core was a good choice to have in the water Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app

Closing the creeks is out of the question it has been mentioned New York State has worked too hard to gain the access and the right aways for most of the areas and you can't stop a criminal unfortunately you will always have those ones that feel they need to go against the grain and the law. And if the trends of the last few years continue I think you will See a fantastic rainbow fishery in the next few years maybe even this upcoming season!!!!!! I know I'm excited after the year I had on the lake. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app

From what I have been told and read the salmon have a very very very very low success rate when it come to natural reproduction... Although in contact from last year there was a very very small amount of natural fry found so there is hope...... And les you know I have a tremendous passion for the lake and t fishery and for that I strongly agree with the one fish rule us fisherman can be very hard headed and stuck in are ways and next to a full time charter Captain on Seneca lake I would strongly say I am in the top tree of guys with the most trips logged on Seneca lake either being for fun or charters and I can say that in the past few years alone the average size of the rainbows caught have increased and also the numbers caught in the lake and streams both the runs have been very very strong lake wide. Now I'm not pulling knowledge from over 10 years ago because I don't personally have that information I'm going off of my one first hand experiences in the last 5 years that I have been seriously focusing on fishing both the lake and streams... I am a firm believer in the one bow limit but then again I am not a meat fisherman, and only ever kill a rainbow or brown for these tournaments. It is a amazing rainbow fishery and I actually pulled most the spread in just to limit how many we caught once we got the big bow we switched to a simple tree rod spread and began to work for lakers and it paid off some times less is more 😄😄😄😄 and thanks mike it's been a fun year filled with great competition and lots of fun and as you said finger lakes tackle all the way you know it's a good day when you say that's enough of the bows hahahaha let's pull 6 of the 9 rods and fish 3 .... Congrats to all that fished and good luck at the last event!!! Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app

I agree with what's been said for the day and the guys we had just under 23lbs for 3 fish and finished 10th we just could not collide with a rainbow to save our lives and also most of are bites what few we had came going north seems to be the opposite from what I have heard although I should not be that surprised somehow I always end up going against the grain lol good job to all Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
