i do 6-8 twists as well. have had the same problem on the big O with lakers releasing never had a problem with browns bows or salmon unless there real small

fished the seneca derby last year for the first time and had a blast, going to fish it again this year. we did ok but couldnt get a fish to pop the release just saw the rod bouncing every time. i use blacks releases and loosened it as lose as i could still wouldnt pop. was just wondering what you finger lake guys use for releases or any suggestions on how i could tweak the blacks. thanks in advance

im looking to put a radio on the boat this year only have a 17 1/2 fter and was wondering how the handhelds compare to the fix radios. would like to get a handheld so i dont have to monkey around with wires or a antenna.

i dont know about salmon this time of year unless you go off shore maybe but if you troll in between the river and russell first couple hours in the morning or last hours at night flat lining stick baits in 10 to 20 ft of water your bound to get browns. did this last year till december and crushed the browns

im about to set up to rods for lead core what type do most people use suffix, cortland kerplunk, great lakes or mason?

looking to get a probe for my boat dont do much fishing out on the lake due to i only have a 17.5 alum boat can only get out when mother natures good to us. was wondering if there are any probes reasonably priced and work good? thanks

when the fish are aggressive instead of using a stacker i will drop the ball 10ft apply a rubber band and then put a cheater above it so then you know your lure is 10 ft from your down depth eliminates tangles and another rod set up
