I hate to say it but Conesus is nothing like the pike fishery it used to be. 17 lb.ers would win the derby's twenty years ago, now, ten and eleven pounders are more the norm. Some of the spring tourney's have bigger winning Walleyes than Northerns!
Tried last week, was a little rough breaking through the ice-pack, but once into open water the white perch bite was ON! Only got a couple small yellows.
Heard a "friend" of mine got into them this morning at the spot I turned him onto with our neighbors boat without calling me to go but that's ok, I wouldn't, mention his name but his initials are WARREN and he lurks but never posts but have a happy thanks .".....
OK, so back to the IBay thread, ..............Has anyone been out lately? We were on the bay a week ago and couldn't find many. Kept about a dozen though after sorting through a ton of dinks and whities..
The last few years they've been leaving one dock section in at the launch until well into December. We leave the boat in the water till X-mas sometimes and its still in then.
Went out last Saturday and it was slow on the Perch. Got a few, but the Whites and Sheeps kept us real busy!.
Just got it back today, We're real happy with the work on this very special fish.
