Thanks for the report plnesman. Whitby seems to be the same not marking many big fish. Been mostly fishing in the evening.
I am going to try west like Bluffers and Port Credit.
Not many reports from there but previous years i have done good there.
See you on the water.

SUMMARY & FURTHER DETAILS 1 Knock off and boated a 2 lb trout i released. Was looking for salmon.
Got on the water around 9am setup with two yellow dodgers and 2 watermelon spoons.Just no luck but marked a lot with my new Lowrance HD at between 45ft and 60ft. Talked to a fella who was out on the water at 5am and said he had great luck in 80 ft of water.
Guess i need to get up earlier and try some new riggins.
Hope this helps people.

Hi i am new to salmon fishing and did not want to spend to much money my first time out.
So my question is what size line and kind of line should i put on the Okumas magda 30dx with a Okuma classic Pro rod.
I will be using these on my downriggers for fishing Salmon.
Also was thinking on booking a charter my first time out to get some first hand know how and wondering if charter Captains are ok with someone asking for fishing info during a charter?
Thank you ahead of time for any help.
