Just settled in and had a fox across the field. Coaxed him all the way to my tree. Came to full draw and said bang! He's lucky season doesn't open till the 25th! Cool to practice on. Now let's get to the main event!
Bucks are definitely starting to act a little bucky. This community scrape gets every buck in the area year after year. The past week it's strarted.
Also on of our better action camera locations had been where we put a little watering whole beside a clover and chicory food plot. This area usually flooded out the plot so we dug a spot and let the plot drain into it and the deer and turkey have been pounding it! Just some food for thought for guys with property they can move dirt on.
Just got done running around like a mad man swapping out cards in all the camera's. Finally in a tree next to a pond hoping for some thirsty flat heads!
Just want to wish everyone luck as you hit the woods this season!! May many bucks fall! Also to remind everyone to be SAFE and to always wear a harness while in a tree. I had a real eye awakening experience this past weekend in Ohio. Was climbing down the tree after an evening hunt, way back in the woods. I was using a climber and while climbing down in the dark one of my feet slipped from the bottum section of the stand. This style climber is an open face ( no bar). Needless to say I was roughly 15 feet in the air at this point and hanging on by just my hands! After I took a few deep breaths and told my self not to panic I was able to pull the bottum section that was still hooked to my other foot up enough to catch the tree. Very scary experience and that will more then likely be the last time I use a climber! That being said don't be a statistic and wear a harness! Good luck and be safe!
