  1. Good info! Maybe I'll wait a little bit to go then, I am dieing for a Tarpon or 5 ! Maybe I will postpone for a bit
  2. Redheads, blue bills, and golden eyes on strings are tuff to beat. The more you have the better off you will be if you want to kill divers.
  3. I'm heading to Florida the end of April beginning of May next year. I am FINALLY going to go chase Tarpon, something I have always wanted to do! I will be in the Crystal River area which is just North of Tampa. Anyone have any suggestions for a guide that will put me on theese beats?? Any help would much appreciated!
  4. Here is the video....... it's located on page 5 of this thread. Lots of good info on this thread also http://www.lakeontariounited.com/fishing-hunting/index.php?/topic/48894-Fly-Trebles?#entry333967
  5. Cable steer units take an hour tops if you have done one in the past. I transferred mine from old boat to new boat this spring and it took about a half hr.
  6. Yes the season did open then BUT you were able to shoot a buck that very day! Not to mention it is a ton of work to shoot, drag, gut, hang, skin, and quarter a deer in 70 + degrees with ticks jumping all over you. That'd why "I" usually tend to wait to shoot doe's. My biggest problem is not the beginning of season debacle it's more towards the Muzzle Loader season! To tell me I can't shoot a buck if I choose during that period is complete bull! I baught me life license for all three seasons years ago, and now they say I can't harvest a buck with that license is a joke!
  7. That's the problem I have, I don't want to move. I love the area I live in and could never leave lake Ontario as long as there are silver fish In it! It's the bull $h!t laws and taxes that make it so difficult for US to live here.
  8. I will being doing the same thing thus winter.... can't wait:angry::wacko:
  9. Before you know it NYS is going to tell us we are going to have to remove all our hooks from lures too!
  10. Does only in those windows. This does not " apease" horn hunters at all! I let more " horns" walk in a season then most meat hunters do in 10 years of hunting. Not pounding my chest on what " I " do in the deer woods at all, but that statement totally contradicts what the state has out in place.
  11. It's only the die hards that put there hard time in from day one till the last day of season like my self that are catching this wrath! No Gane will be had only a loss! Complete morans!
  12. NYS is finally been declared the worst state to live in!!! This is far beyond a restriction program! I want my money back for the three life time licenses I have baught from this despicable state!!
  13. You got to love the looks on the face of the first timers! I know for me it only took one and I needed my own boat. Congrats to both you and them on a trip that both will never forget!
  14. We to have used the WI and it came pretty good, I just think for the money it cost I can get double the amount of seed for the same price. We used Tall Tine Tubers and the deer ate it all right down to dirt.
  15. That would be great!
  16. Does anyone happen to know where you can find seed such as Brassicas, Turnips, clover, chicory, oats in the Rochester area? I want to try coming up with my own blends. The company's such as Whitetail Institut prices are outrageous for seed that is "specialty formulated for big bucks"! It's a scam for that stuff as far as I am concerned. Thank Matt
  17. Awsome stuff Lou! Def was the best day for King bites for us this year.
  18. I want those rods! silverfoxcharters.net Are you sure you can handle both of those Sott??
  19. That is absolutely priceless! Trust me I have been there twice, but we were fortunate to get our diver and 300 copper back by pure luck! Sorry that happened
