Finally had a chance to get the kids on the water this year for Father's Day. We figured we would get late start and pound bottum for chickens. Once we hit 100 fow it was on! First fish of the day we doubled, Landon and Blake were hooked up! Landed both Lakers and the kids couldn't believe the size of the fish they just put on the deck! We ended up boating a bunch of Lakers in the 2.5 hours we worked bottum and the kids made it the best Father's Day any one could ask for!!
Side note the Lakers are very fat this year with broad shoulders! Also water color was ugly....... grey ish to dark green.
If that's the case wouldn't running braid on the riggers do the same? What do they recommend for cable length? I know a lot of people with 400' on there's.
With the sub trolls coated cable you do not have to remove the rigger cable at all. I just bought a brand new Cannon rigger this year and rather then stripping all the new cable off, I crimped the coated cable to the rigger cable and it works great! My thought process was keep the spool as full as possible just like a reel.
