Gotta say I agree , I too have not seen a "shooter" yet this year ( 1 borderline). I'm not even seeing the pics of big deer flying around the Internet/ text like every year.
I agree 100% but for some reason in the area of Monroe County that I hunt the wind constantly seems to swirl. That being said I go into the woods as sent free as I can, especially my boots.
Haven't seen a deer. Really hoping it all comes together here In the last hour. I have to go back to work this week! With right around 70hrs in a tree the last 9 days I would like nothing more than to release an arrow!
What's up with his right eye? Looks like it's red? By the way congrats on the buck he's nice in my book. My buddies went to the Golden Triangle in the middle of October and out of 5 of them only one managed to kill. Don't even think it met the 130" minimum.
Once everything settled down I pulled the stand and moved 50yrds to the south where a majority of the deer have been traveling. I'm back up where I belong till dark! £
Surprised but with the 2 yotes coming through I've seen 12 deer 2 with small racks. Only 2nd time in this spot, once deer movement slows going to yank this stand and move 40yrds
I wanted to kill the 1st one that came through then REALLY wanted the 2nd one!! 24yrds but behind some junk then when he started to go I tried stopping him but he dropped the clutch and screwed.
How about when your creeping into your stand in the dark and you make almost all the way to it and CRACK you step on a branch a 1/2" thick and echoes through out the woods! That's what really grinds my gears!! LOL......
During the 20 mins that it stop raining there was good movement. Once it started back up it was over. Back at it in the am. I've got so many hours in the last week and a half and have not seen the Bucks that I'm used to. It's driving me crazy!
