    I have Cannon Digi-Troll 11's and they seem to be getting slower and slower every season. They dont make most parts for theese anymore so just replacing the motor s are not an option unless you convert them over to mag 10. My starboard side rigger comes up depending how deep it is about half way and gets slower and slower untill eventually its stops. And when you touch the plug it is hot. That beeing said I think the motors are worn out. I am goin to try and shortin the #10 wire I got running to the batteries to see is that helps also.

    I know this has been asked 100 times, but does anyone have the name of the place that repairs cannon downriggers in Buffalo? I know screwie louies is on Fairhaven, but I thought there was one in the Buffalo area also. Thanks Matt

    I had to alter the key because of the position of the key way on the original steering wheel shaft was closer to the helm and the spacer would not allow the key to slide in. If that makes any sence.

    I have the collar on the main shaft. I did have to alter the key to make it all fit tho. The play im talking about is in the drive itself.

    I am trying to install my mechanical drive auto pilot on my boat. It seems to me that there is an excessive amount of play in the drive unit that mounts to the steering colum ( the brass coupling to the drive housing). Which that play continues all the way out the steering wheel with prolly 3/8 play in any direction. It just doesn't seem right to me for it to move as much as it does. Is this normal for these unit s to move that much? Any help would be great since this is my first ever install. Thanks Alot MATT

    Convector 30 for me. You can get for $60 at Northwoods Outlet. Your goin to pay probably at least 50 for a magna pro and there is no comparison between the 2. Convector's IMO are the best reel out there for the price.

    When the steelies are a little deeper I do really well on DW "Kevorkian" and NK purple thunder. Both with silver backs.

    I pretty much have the same ones. They work great! The only thing I can recommend is to paint them with a high viz color so you can see them when they are out a way from the boat.
