    Short Lead core is def a little better option IMO. Or you could always run deeper diver stix like smithwicks or rapalas. They will get you down 15-18ft.

    If you want to try and go that short with your rod, rollers are really the only way to go when your talking diver rods.

    I usually dont ask for any info when heading out, but I am goin to Oneida this weekend and have never been before. Really hoping to pull my 1st eye through the ice. Any tips would be GREATLY appreciated, where to start and what they have been hittin on. You don't have to tell me where your holes are just a something to get started! Thanks Alot, Matt
