    Sunday evening I decided watching football was nothing like being in the woods !! So that being said I hit the shower and starting loading my stuff in the truck. As I was doin that my 4yr old son Landon yelled out the door " if a deer walks by you, you better shoot it I want to track blood!" So that being said it was time to release an arrow. I got in my stand at 4 o'clock with high hopes of putting one down for him to track. At 5 o'clock I had 3 does coming in on a string right to me. I picked out the biggest one and at 14yards let it fly, perfectly hitting her in the heart! At that point I text my wife and told her to meet ne at the truck at 6 o'clock cuz we had a deer to find! As they showed up he jumped out of the car fully camouflaged with one of the biggest smiles on his face I have ever seen. The first thing he says to me was " daddy dont worry I got my flash light" As we got close to where I maid the shot I pointed in the direction she was and told him "its all you buddy look for the blood you've been dying to track! After about to minutes he yells out " daddy I got blood"!!! He was so excited I couldnt believe it. Flash light in hand with lots of day light left he continued right on track following the blood like a pro and kept reminding me that " I got blood" the whole way. About 30yards into the track he whisper s there she is and points at the deer! I told him good job and to walk up to het slowly and make sure she was dead. So he walked up with caution and gave her a little kick in the rear and says " Big Doe Down" with a southern draw!! I couldnt stop laughing! After we celebrated his great tracking job I had to let him knoe what we had to do next, the gutting of the deer. After I told him what we had to do to my surprise his response was " cool can I help"!! So I gave him a leg and told him to hang on to her! I can honestly say that was probably the best 45mins I have ever spent in the woods in my life! Take I kid in the woods even if there a friend, niece or nephew you wont regret it u promise.     Over the weekend I saw 7 different bucks all in good day light hours. 2 of them were making rubs and scrapes. Sunday morning even had 3 does comin srewing by me like I was in the middle of a drive during gun season. 1min later I heard a grunt and 2 bucks popd out looking for there girls.     Yesterday we fished big fish sunday and I believe there was a total of 8 boats. I bet know one can guess who won!?? Team Trout n About sweeps the weekend!     Was wondering if anyone is familiar with these riggers? My ? is ..... I was told that you can change the up/down speed on these some how? Mine are pretty slow and would like them to be a little faster if possible. Not sure if its true given I have no manual or cant even find one online ANY where!! Any help would be awesome.     Inside for Browns didn't have any issues but once you move out they are def there in good numbers!

    Nice job Joe seems like you got them pinned down! Didn't get out today but back at it tomarrow , going to try the Browns! My buddy took a 20lb Brown this morning and wasn't in the derby so it went back in the lake for me to take in the AM!!

    Left the dock a little after 5AM and had high hopes from all word that the Kings were in town. Setup in about 160fow and trolled south ( Wasn't payin attention on the way out!) Moved into 120fow and the rigger fired and ended up being a 8lb Laker. Decided to turn back around and head north to get away from the lakers for awhile. Slid out to 250fow where we did good on Wednesday while I was fishing with Legacy. Got out there with a blank screen the whole way, we took two Stealhead while workin that area and dropped two others. Missed one and took the one strealhead on a 3 color core pullin a Purple Kavorkian stinger. The other stealhead took A NBK down 40. A short while later the center rigger fired with a 8-10lb King on the other end. That fish took an Nk Carmel Dolphin with disco later back. Not long latter that same combo fired and before I could get to it GONE! Decided with a absolutely dead screen and a phone call to head back south! Got into 75 fow a finally marked bait, kept it on south troll and marked the bait into about 50fow. We had good temp, we Finally had bait, and we had fish! It was just a matter of time? After about 20 mins of working the 55-65 range I was reseting the rigger the 100ft wire starts peelin!! I jumped over the rods ran to the other side of the boat and GONE!!! Couldn't keep em buttoned and at about 10:30 we had to pull the plug. We ended up 4-7 and def was not the field day we thought we were in for! Matt -Jakey Baby-

    Nice job Lou! I fished with Legacy last night and it was some great fishing FINALLY! We too dropped fish! Yours just sound like they might have been a bit bigger!?

    Any fish that is a trophy to any individual is worth mounting regardless of its size or what anybody else thinks about it! Its better to have a fish on the wall, rather than wishing you did down the road! IMO...... Matt -Jakey Baby-
