The sheriffs keep one boat on the lake and one boat at cedar pt state park. The two boats at Keewaydin state park are the park police boats. The troopers do not have a boat in the water. They haven't had a boat in the water in 3 years.
You don't have to worry about the troopers writing you a ticket because their boat is on the trailer at their station. It hasn't seen the water in 3 years. Also there is no section of state law the prohibits you from fishing in the channel. The cost guard would get involved if you are impending the travel of the big tanker ships.
I'm thinking about heading out tomorrow morning just wondering were you are finding the wind and wave forecast on the internet. I see on weather.com that the wind is going to blow out of the west at 10mph, just wondering what that waves would be like near Mexico Pt. I got a 20ft grizzely and if it is going to be rough I don't feel like getting bang around. Thanks
I'm heading up for a week of fishing starting on 10/8 and bringing the boat along incase the fishing is slow on the river. I never trolled for them in the fall, how deep is everybody fising for them out in the lake? Any tips and info would help out great
I'm looking for a navigation charts that are on a SD chip for my Lowrance HDS unit for Big Gull Lake (clarendon) near Arden Ontario Canada. I searched all the new ones and I can not find any with that lake on it. If nobody is willing to part with the one they have any info on where to get one would be good to.
I will be heading up there the weekend after labor day to a private cottage. I'm not sure where it is on the lake but any information on good places to look for some walleyes would be help out alot. Also i have a lowarance lake insight gps unit, does anybody know if that lake is pre loaded on the unit or will i have to buy a SD card with lake on it. Good luck when your up there
I have a 20 foot aluminum boat with the top of the gunnels is 3 inches wide. I'm thinking about mounting some mounting tracks on top of them but all the ones i can find are 3 1/2 inches wide. Does anybody know what the spacing is for he mounting holes on the tracks is? I've tired to find the specks for that but haven't. I'm currently looking at the traxstech or the ones from Bert’s Custom Tackle. I would just use side clamps and mount the rod holers to them but haven't found any that are wide enough to fit over the gunnels. Thanks for the help
Fished today from 7ish to 4ish, trolled towards Oswego in 12-25ft of water picked up all fish on stick baits didn't matter what kind as long as it had a orange belly. Boated between 20 and 25 fish had many doubles on and lost our count. We also picked up 2 Lake Trout and one small steelhead. It was a great day on the water and this are two of the bigger browns we boated.
