  8. Last year my swr saved one of my downrigger rods after a king ripped it out of the rod holder. I saw it sinking down and quickly circled the boat and one hook from the spoon on the swr had hooked the line. Kudos to the wife for alerting me about the rod going over too! 9. your welcome, you can also use spro micro swivels and tie that to the lead core (remove 6- 8 inches of lead from lead core before tying knot to swivel) this makes it easier to change your leader without cutting up your lead core. Since they are small they will go through the level wind on most reels. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  18. We have an 18ft Starweld and have a yammy 9.9 4 stroke with our 115 yammy Sent from my SCH-I545 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  19. We have a 2012 Starweld 1800 Pro that we love, great configuration for fishing. We are using the Big Jon manual planer mast (dual) that we have setup in the front seat post mount. My son works for a metal fabrication place and was able to fashion an adapter to go inside of the seat post. (see pics). When using it we also add a cargo strap run through the front eye and around the mid point of the mast for additional support. Since we can't reach the lines we use florescent rope with inexpensive carabiners on them tied to the post of the bimini top for easy access. There is a pic showing how it is setup, we have used it for 4 years now and works very well. Hope that helps. As for the downriggers I'm currently using manual Cannon downriggers at the moment until the fishing fund has enough to get the electrics. We just purchased a 9.9 Yammy kicker that we will be installing in a couple of weeks. Best of luck with your boat and Tight Lines!

Adapter place inside of seat post, notice the set screws to hold the mast and also keep it from spinning around inside of the seat post.

  25. A friend sent this to me this morning, maybe someone with more knowledge can chime in on how this would effect the lake and how the rest of us can help. http://m.dailykos.com/stories/2016/5/19/1528638/-Last-Night-s-House-Republican-Defense-Authorization-Bill-Will-Open-Great-Lakes-to-Invasive-Species?_=2016-05-19T15%3A48%3A07.989-07%3A00 Thanks,
