I think you have to get the good gold tips. Bought my first dozen almost 20 year's ago. Still have 5 left. Now to be fair I do have some newer ones that have never seen a broad head cause there garbage. But like I said they are cheap ones that the bow shop threw in for me. I also have new Easton Fmj's. And every deer season the same old goldtips find there way into my quiver. They have been shot from many bows refleched even more and yet still get the job done. The bottom line is all brands have cheap stuff in the long run you always get what you pay for. Adam maybe he saw that on tv. I know every time I squeezed the trigger the last thing I wanted was to wound. Not to mention the 5.56 is not .223 it's a hotter load. And you would have to be an idiot to use a military or a fmj on game. But to go back to post with right bullet and right placement the .223 is extremely deadly on deer. I have used it and still do. No the clutch setting. Its the knob on the side looks like a star. Should be set so it just holds the ball. That way if the ball gets hung up on bottom or goes all the way to boom you won't loose it. [ Post made via Android ]
