Very nice work gang! The temps on the eastern end, in particular Watertown never scared 30 degrees all weekend with even harsher wind chills. Sunday night and Monday morning here the temp was 3 degrees before the wind chill. Keep up the reports, its still going to be a couple of weeks for me.

I am looking for some intell on rebuilding old sealine reels. Specifically the drag system. They don’t compare to the reels of current production but I have heard that rebuild parts are available. Kept 10 on Saturday, released some shorts, 1 smallmouth, 1 pike, dozen or so jumbo perch. Sunday was a short morning, kept 3, lost one at the net. Tough conditions, rain was annoying, wind on Sunday-could have done without. Friends had to get back home. Debris was worst where the bite was best. Some boats got em a lot of boats didn't. Some big fish were caught but the ones we got were mostly all the same year class. Sundays fish were bigger. Fished with my Dad, Father in law, and my friends. I have not heard about any speed restrictions. I was down at the cottage on long point Sunday putting the dock and waterline in. AlI can tell you is that there is a lot of debris out there so use extreme caution navigating Black River Bay, Guffins bay, Chaumont and 3 mile Bay's, Henderson as well. The captains in the harbor have been struggling to catch much of anything. It has not been good. I know of several boats that have fished from the head of Pillar Point to the mouth of the Salmon River and everywhere in between with minimal to zero luck. Like Kevin stated all the action seems to be on the west end of the lake. I know I'm looking forward to the eye opener. Good luck and better things to come on the eastern end.

I was down to the cottage yesterday on Point Peninsula. 3 mile, Chaumont, and Guffins are froze out almost to cherry island. Its open on the Isthmus side but the launch is iced up. Going to be a bit yet. As of Thursday Henderson to Horse island was all ice out past Bass and Gull islands, Crazy winter since it was wide open coming into March on the Sackets to Henderson side of the Lake. Everyone is itching!
