Looks great Rick thank you... I looked into a few last week.and ended up with one but still trying to get time to sit down and do it.. Hopefully by early next week I will have it a bit easier for you guys to tell me which flys your after.. I'm not good at the name game lol...

I like the first combo the best and yes run them in the thermocline in early summer and late fall.. have caught many bows browns and salmon on Spinny fly combos

I'll name that middle one(orange) for you. It should be called Marlboro. I taught and coached downstate for 9 years. In our league was Marlboro High School. Their colors were orange and black and I swear to god their mascot was the IRON DUKES! You from there?

Nope not from there lol.. That is the name of my boat (Iron Duke).. I will keep that name in mind .. Thinking I'm gonna have to come up with alot of names here soon....

I think your FLTA competition may be getting pretty nervous about now

Lol... No there all extremely good anglers... That's one thing about our club is the competition is always really close ... I believe last year there was only one two time winner all year long and that says alot... After seeing how tough the fishing has been the last 2 times out on Seneca this year I'm sure this Sunday will be a crap shoot but definitely looking forward too it.

Seems like each of the last few years we have a real mild hardly any snow and very mild temps but then when we think it's about to be spring we actually have winter hit... SUCKS!!

First off let me say I had a extremely hard time picking a winner because all the names were great... But I decided since we are on a Finger lakes page to go with a name that has to do with them.. As most of you know or may have actually fished in it last year the Finger Lakes had some amazing bright green colors that were actually caused by algae.. So I think Algae Bloom is a great name for this Finger Lakes Fly.. Congrats to Shawn393 on winning the 2 free flys I will be PM ing you shortly .. I think we will do this from time to time on some of the new stuff we come up with... Thanks guys for playing... Can't wait til the next one...

Exactly!! LOL. No one was bashing stream Fisherman. The guys that line up in one inch of water and stand over a trout are not catching that fish legally. Now could I hook that fish in the mouth sure I could. If you have enough water where you can do it right go ahead have fun that's what it's all about. I grew up on the creek and have thousands of hours of stream fishing under my belt. I've seen guys clean out holes of over 60 fish and not one was caught legally or released. But the guy on the lake dragging lines is doing more damage, give me a break. I had a one BOW limit per guy on my boat years before it ever started. If anyone can't see that fish in two inches of water are more vulnerable than they are in 200ft your blind. Sean

X2... There's a huge difference between snaggers and Respectible Stream fisherman.. I agree with Sean a hundred percent you're not fishing when you're standing over a Crystal Clear Creek lifting a fish you can see.. When I'm not Tournament Fishing I release every fish I catch when I'm on my boat unless there's a friend with me who wants a couple.. The 1 rainbow limit has been the best thing the DEC has done in years on certain Finger lakes and tribs.. We all need to get together and work together to protect our lakes and streams so that our children's children will have a chance at what we have right now

Lowrance makes a hook Series now that are entry level and also a Elite 9 for not much more than the 7

One thing about Lowrance which I highly recommend to any one trolling is when you power them on for the first time it will walk you thru the set up and ask you about 10 yes or no questions about how you plan on using the unit and what kind of depth your gonna be fishing... It basically sets it all up for you, you don't have to touch adjust anything and if you do get playing around with the setting there is a reset to default you can press in the menu and takes you right back to when it was new out of the box and will walk you thru the process as many times as you need... I highly recommend the ELITE Series... Elite 7 or Elite 9 are both great unit and you can get it with chirp which is down scan imaging. .. I honestly never use the down scan just regular fish finder but if you want you can run all at once on your main screen... Lowrance makes some great units and the Elite Series will get the job done with out draining the bank account I can promise you that...
