  13. We Launched out of Branchport at about 5:45 AM fishing the Finger Lakes Trollers Association Club tournament and ran way south... We ran cores, coppers, riggers, rigs and wires... We were into our first fish shortly after getting the gear in the water and the action was steady putting 3 to 4 pound lakers in the boat until we decided to move out to the 150 fow range to take a look and bang we were into something big on the 130 rigger with a FLT Custom painted pro troll flasher which stayed hot the rest of the day... We fought this fish for about 10 mins , it did not want to come to the boat and pulled some drag a few times... We managed to get this lengthy 11 pound laker to the boat and in the cooler... We reset that rigger and not even after having it down 2 mins it fires again with a 8 pound laker which also put up a great fight but we managed to bring to the net..... We decided we had a decent cooler full of lakers and went in shallow and tried for 4 hours to get an off fish but only managed one small pike... We ended the day 14 for 14 all lakers and winning the FLTA Keuka Tournament with only weighing in 3 of the possible 5 fish we were allowed for a combined weight of 24.9 and also getting Lunker with the 11.3 laker.... Finger Lakes Tackle did all the damage today.. King of Sting flasher pulling a Big Weenie Seneca Ghost was HOT!! Great Day on the water other than the relentless winds.... Great Job to all who Fished today...... Mike 11.3 # Laker 8 # Laker
  14. The off fish bite is really tough of recent years.. They're there but you have to work your butt off to get them.. The weigh in will be mostly lakers but whoever can find a couple off fish or one big laker will take the money home.... Good luck and see ya out there Sunday. .. 22. Now that rig is a thing of beauty. .. Way to go.. Fish are looking for a place to hide as we speak... lol Mike Sent from my SCH-I535 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  23. Also depends on reel size and like I said its a preference thing .. I run braid backing with my coppers but mono with my cores with no problems whatsoever. .. But like hooked up said if your gonna use your 10 color rig to run it as 3 , 5 , or 7 color core to you need to put mono splicing in after each section and if you do go with braid backing put a piece of mono in after all your core before you go to your braid so you can attach to your planner board with out as much ware on the line... 24. Thanks Mark. .. Anyone who is not on Facebook who is interested joining the club PM me with your email address and I will send out an application to you.. If you have any questions I will try my best to awnser all of those as well..... Mike Sent from my SCH-I535 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  25. I like 30 lb mono backing but you could run 30lb power pro backing if you want... Use a Albright knot to connect all your lines.. 12 to 15 lb Flouro leader...Length is a preference but I run 30 ft... here's a link to the albright knot. http://m.youtube.com/results?q=albright%20knot&sm=1 Mike Sent from my SCH-I535 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
