Thanks cdgn ... Yeah we will be careful of that for sure ... I read last week that there was a shoal built up at the end of the ramp, must be because you can only get your trailer so far in the water so you would have to power load and yes I will be fishing the Avon tourney.. I know there has been some posts in the last few weeks regarding the woodville launch but can anyone tell me if the rain we received last weekend has brought the water levels up at all?? The Okuma Clarion 553 LS are awesome reels have to agree with Sean on that... I run my copper and cores on them and its so much nicer having them on high speed reels, they are definitely worth the money... Hills Valleys and Streams has them in stock... Mike

Fished aboard Reel Stories with Captn Nick this morning and had a great morning of fishing as we usually do... Not gonna do a full report, gonna leave that up to Nick We have been running the GoPro cameras and trying different views and setups, Nick had his camera covering the rods and deck so I decided to rig mine up on the net.... THE NET CAM check it out link below.... I have to admit I lost a brute at the back of the boat on the last part of the video but got that out of my system before the Tourneys start.. Mike

9.9 is the way to go.. We have a 22' Sylvan Offshore with a older Honda 8.9 and it works great... Honda or Yamaha would be my choice extremely low maintenance and saves a whole lot of hours on your big motor.. Good luck Mike [ Post made via Android ]

Lakebound88, its exactly what i said it was " a nice laker"... A beautiful Seneca Lake Laker.... ... Still not happy tho gotta get back out there and work on catching some off fish... My off fish fishing has been terrible so far this year.... .... But will work on it and figure it out... Mike

Got invited out on a shakedown on Matt's boat Skippin School Saturday morn.. We started out the canal at about 630 and decided to head North a bit and set up shop near Hector Falls, we ran riggers cores copper and dipsys with a good mix of spoons, spinnys and flys.. We ran north for a bit with nothing but did run into quite a bit of weeds already for this time of the year ( Gotta feeling because of such a warm winter the fleas and weeds are gonna be beyond bad,, lets hope not tho) So decided to cut across to the westside and on our turn picked up a small laker about 4 lbs we picked up a coulple more fish going across including a real nice laker (pics below)... The boat ran great and no issues so overall a great day to be on the water no matter what..... Thanks for the invite Matt... Today was the FLTA Fisherman Flea Market in Watkins and it was great meeting a bunch of people I have talked to on this site but have never met in person thanks for stopping by the booth and saying hello .... Overall I think I can say, it was a very successful show with plenty of great trolling gear up for grabs and some really good deals.. Hope to see you all next year... Mike

Im gonna be honest .. I love the Stingers, they have great colors but the paint falls off after a couple fish.. Hookedup and Jason have been talking up the Dreamweaver's because they are also great spoons and they don't lose the paint and I have finally broke down and bought some , I have stocked up on similar spoons on both, and am gonna run my riggers half and half on the next two trips and will report back to you with the details.. Am a huge fan of the Michigan Stinger and it gonna take a lot of proof to change me... Mike
