  9. Sea-IV.... that is a good point! realistically. But then again Lake O's probably like the herp girlfriend (god bless this lake) and the gov. just wants everyone to wear protection. Kinda ruins the moment though lol. But I'm sure it's for the best.

  13. awww! should have went to henderson, so much closer! thought it would be good to go to Mexico this morning, thinking the wind would be better for a solo trip (which it was great) but it was boat city out there. the launch was almost full by 7.
  14. Thanks for all the input guys, I'm going to keep up the research and see what my options are. maybe a winter project. probably going to have to winterize sooner than later with this polar vortex stuff floating around. talk about snow is september.... craziness.
  15. So... I'm lost. I have a cable steered starcraft islander. I have a kicker. I was looking at doing a Tr1 gold, but then realized the lower unit would add to the steering no matter what right? I have an ez steer linkage but was thinking that might put too much pressure on the lower unit. then thought I'd get a raymarine for the main motor and just use the link to the kicker until I realized my motor has "power assist". So then i think it's needs to be in operation for the "power assist" to function. So now I'm just confused. Do i get rid of the kicker all together, boat trolls just fine but a quite four stroke is ideal, less stress on main... any input would be great!!!!!
  16. Just as the add says, looking for an auto pilot for a cable steered boat.
  17. I got out a little late, had a rod fire but nobody was home. Was weird cause I was marking fish high but reading temp low. Dropped a cowbell just to kill the skunk and managed a 15lb laker, now I just have to find a way to eat it. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United

  25. you guys go deep or stay in the trench? I got skunked last evening. By the time I got to the lake today it seemed a little to jumpy to do a solo trip and ended up going for perch.
