alright.... guess that answers that. Thanks everyone who saved me from doing my usual boat gypsy trading. I'm not going to lie... I could stare at boats all day.
Sry, am interested but wasn’t sure if they were single rod or bolt on ones that go under the rigger mounts Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
I appreciate it. Nothing worse than getting into something you don’t like, and as much as I’d like to say gas isn’t an issue, it does come into play when the fish are 20 miles out or so from the boat launch. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
Alright so I don’t know if I’m just going through my normal boat gypsy phase in late winter or what but I’ve been looking at these amberjacks for a while now and they seem like a pretty sweet platforms for fishing. It seems a kicker mounted to a swim platform would be very doable especially on a the 27ftr with 2 out drives. I currently have a 21ft chris craft with a 200 etec and it’s awesome on gas so I’m a little nervous about going any further considering the haul from Henderson to some decent fishing grounds. Figured someone on here could tell me some pros and cons Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app

Your gonna love the tr-1 gold especially fishing solo. I have one on my 06’ yamaha 15hp 4 stroke and I’ll put one one every boat I own. It functions great, pretty easy to install and calibrate yourself. I go pretty far offshore though as up in the Henderson area it’s a haul to get to the fish but on 2 different boats I’ve had, never had issues with a dead battery unless I left my lights on or some dumb thing. check out BBC boards, those bass guys are upgrading like every other month, kinda gives you an idea on what prices are in the used market for electronics
That looks pretty close to my old 21ft blue fin Victorian. 21ft 175hp max. Should be a plate next to the driver seat. Looks almost identical. Had a 115hp yamaha on it at it topped out at 35 Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
Pap Ive read some literature that suggest the hdi might work and some says it won’t but the power cable does seem to provide NMEA 0183 data. But on a side note, you really only need to connect a chart plotter to a Tr1 gold if your looking to steer to waypoints or something. I have mine tied into my HDS, but only to have an additional gps source. I never use the gps function. My first boat with a TR1 wasn’t connected to a chart plotter and steered just fine.
