Have seen some decent reports out of Mexico Bay .. Anyone know if the afternoon bite has been good? Or things seem to strictly be a morning bite for the browns? Thanks

from a couple other reports, it sounded like Mexico Bay launch is accessible and the river is open to the lake? Does anyone know if just the river is open, but the Bay still has some ice or if the Bay has floating ice/debris? ...anyone venture out of this launch yet? Thanks.

I've got the boat but haven't ventured to otisco at all. All my time is spent at Oneida catching dinks compared to otisco. Is the marina pretty much the only launch? Is the parking decent? Looks like there isn't much parking . Also any idea how late into the season that launch is open? Thanks

Anyone know if you can access the causeway on the East side? It looks like there is room to park just on the side of the road, but everything I read online only talks about the access point on the west side. Coming from Syracuse area, i'm thinking of trying out the east side of the lake to save some driving time not having to drive around to the West side.

when you run the harnesses off the planers, how much weight do you usually use? do you have to get them right down to the bottom in 40 FOW

pretty much the same thing here. Was out at oswego morning of 07/22, fished for browns in 50-80 FOW for 3.5 hours and only caught 1. Then tried out at 180-240 FOW for salmon and didn't get a single hit the 2 hours out there. Sounds like it's pretty slow right now from what I've heard.. maybe it will pick up by the weekend...

Great report .. i've heard of a few people catching some limits up there - Sandy creek area too. Let's hope they stick around for a few more weeks!

Water was muddy in the harbor and a little ways after the harbor, but after that most of the water was gin clear. Trolled all the way up to the plant. Picked up 3 browns, one decent 6lbr and a couple smaller ones. Couldn't really find any concentration of fish - just seemed like we picked up a few random fish ...anyone else having luck out of oswego?? I thought there'd be some colored water still around from Friday's rains,, but maybe with the South winds it all got pushed off shore. ====================
