For the record we were coming up before I found this thread. I need to get out with my kids. Where is best place to launch if I am coming from the south East. We all need some serious stress relief. Thank you in advance! Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United

Thanks for the report. I am supposed to go Tuesday so hopefully I can figure out a plan to put the boys on a few fish to make the trip worth it for them Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United

How has the perch bite been on Cayuga. I have a couple guys begging me to get them on the water and would like to put them on a some Fish next week. Thank you as always for the support you guys show our members. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
Great report! I too was there for my shakedown of the year and trying out some new tactics that I haven’t tried yet on my new boat. We had similar success mainly in the dirty water. Water was 38 in most areas and when we found the 40 degree water rods fired. Black and silver was our ticket. Had a much better stick bite then spoon bite but caught fish on both. Big fish of the day was 9 lbs. great job venturing away from the crowd wish we were smart enough to give that try. Either way it was a beautiful day on the water and the fish cooperated enough to make it a great day! Tight lines! Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
Just in time for fall salmon and steelhead season!
1997 Hyde High Side aluminum driftboat. I'm selling this boat because I have not had it out of the barn in the last 5 years and it is too nice to let it sit and not have someone enjoy it. Boat is 16 feet long and has been stored indoors for the 12 years I have owned it. Boat comes with everything you will need for the river or local lake.
2 anchors and anchor rope
4 rod holders
2 spare oars
2 carbon fiber Hyde oars
4 life jackets
Extra drain plugs
Two from seats
Back fishing seat
Spare tire
Evinrude 9.9 4 stroke long shaft
Minn Kota endura 30lb thrust trolling motor
Humming bird depth finder.
Full canvas cover
Asking $5800 will sell boat without motor and accept offers.

This is all great info and I know I will end up with a large arsenal but this definitely gives me a great idea of a good starting point. Thank you ! Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
Thank you all very much for the replies. This is exactly the starting point info I was looking for. I will most likely be fishing out of Oswego area in spring and up in Henderson area in fall. Thank you again!!! Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
I have a new boat with downriggers. I am going to start outfitting it to be able to troll for salmon and spring browns. If you were in my situation what are the first lures you would buy? I know it will take me awhile to build my full arsenal, but I am hoping to maximize my initial purchases by choosing wisely. Thank you for your time and guidance. I think I have decided on hummingbird helix 10 di. Don't think I really need the chirp and SI for what I am doing. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
I have been reading every forum I can find and everything I can find on the internet but still struggling with purchasing a finder for my new boat. If you were going to buy a new finder right now for $1200 or under what would you buy and why. More info of how I will use it. It will be on a Lund Tyee 1900 which I will use to perch fish and bass fish with my kids. I will also troll and jig for walleyes on the St. Lawrence river and Lake Ontario or Oneida. Also would sporadically troll for salmon on Lake Ontario or finger lakes. Navigation is important to me and I will be putting a minn Kota trolling motor on the boat. Thank you in advance for you advice. This will be my first purchase but I have some experience with finders but I am definitely a novice. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
I am looking for a Crestliner Sportfish. Prefer 18' or bigger and would love to find one only a few years old. Hard to find but worth putting it out there.
