Why a overhand knot? There are alot stronger knots. Is it so the fly will give and you wont lose the spin doc?

If you do not want to hassle with taking split shot on and off, buy some snap weights. I take the heavier weights off and put a split shot on a 3" piece of mono tied to the release on the snap weight. That way when it gets to the boat, it is easy to take off.

my buddy has ram holders on his lund. we were planning on trying to run dipseys off them, not wire but power pro. would that be ok? also he was loooking intoo getting those berts trees for the boards since we do alot of walleye fishing, can we put dipseys in thoseor would the rods be to high and straight up?
