  1. Still looking but yours sounds a little to expansive I'm looking to stay under $1500

not getting mine for that, good deal on a Honda 15 hp here thats still in the box. Cheaper than I would let mine go for. That 9.9 Merc will push my 22' boat for 10 hrs on 3 gals. best gas milage ive ever heard of. My buddy's yahama high thrust burns more than that in 7 hrs pushing a 17 ft lund

not sure where you're coming from but if its a far drive just add the extra hr or 2 and fish outta olcott or the oak if you want kings. very few have been taken lately

  3. if you're launching from the south shore launch in the morning fish your first hr right there about half mile out by the island. Plenty of fish there and water temp is still low. Then move out or east. Also next bay West is also good this time of yr

  5. I am considering making my own trolling flys. Have you guys tried the Trans UV Extreme?

What are some good color combinations you guys like?

    greens and..... ;)

Very addictive and fun past time !

There's a certain feeling about having a fly you tied get hot for an hour....and frustrating when you can't catch another fish on it for a few days after... :$

Just try a different one..... :)

you don't know how to tie flies. Lol

  6. How about you buy some second hand riggers until you have more funds available for what you really want and use the saved money for a good probe which is reallywhat helps you once you have your gear down there. As for rods, the $20/25 eagle claw rods also catch plenty of fish.

I thought about that but have decided after shopping around for used riggers that I'm gonna buy new. As for the probe, I can hold off on that I guess. Do they make a temp probe that is cheaper than $600?

Couldn't you just take temperatures manually to find the T-cline and then setup the riggers there and watch blow back (angle of lines?) Or is the probe just that much easier?

Depth Raider and Moor Subtroll 900 are both way less than 600 scoots

IMO, with the crazy currents we have on Lake O, down speed is much more important than temps.
