  1. I figured you go us who have been around a while would know best. I came across this bunch of spoons, mostly Suttons and a few that have Miller and Leather Stocking stamped on them. They have a bit of sentimental value, but I wanted to buy them for a fair price. I'm not sure what they are worth, but I don't want to under buy them by any means. Do you guys have any clue what they are worth?? Thanks for any insight.
  2. That was the plan! And then around 11, stop in at the tiki bar to make the no fish day a little less sucky! Hahaha Sent from my SM-G900V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  3. I won't have extremely high hopes tomorrow by the sounds of it. I'll just use it as a day to escape being a "responsible adult" and just enjoy the time out fish or no fish! Sent from my SM-G900V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  4. PM sent! Sent from my SM-G900V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  5. I forget about the derby. I can understand why it gets quiet! I'll be up Thursday just to poke around. The weather looks great, so we will see. I'll try to chase the winning fish back to southern waters for you guys! Sent from my SM-G900V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  6. Not much on the list here for Seneca. Has anyone been out? Did the fish decide to start being less picky?
  7. It's cranked down pretty tight, just wanted to snug it up a hair more. I won't be able to get more than about 1 flat on the nut. Thanks for the heads up though!
  8. There are a couple pictures of the hole and after I got the transducer in. I drilled a 1/4" pilot from the inside after measuring the outside to make sure I had the right spot. The hull was nearly 2 inches thick. I used a ton of 5200 to make sure it sealed good. It is only hand tight right now because I couldn't find a big enough pair of channellocks locally. A new pair are in the way to tighten it down before it hits the water.
  9. My brain failed me with angles! Did you point the arrow straight forward or partially forward? With lowrance you can run single frequencies correct? One can run 83 (or 50) and the other 200 to avoid interference? 200 gets a better picture, but in a pinch just to find bottom, 83 will suffice.
  10. To angle to the bow a bit (if my brain isn't failing me with angles) you point the keel arrow on the top of the tramsducer towards the stern? I am going to have 2 units onboard, but was worried about the interference running 2 Lowrance units. I wasn't going to hook up a transducer to the other unit and just use it as a GPS. The plan was using my Elite 7 as the GPS in dash and the Elite 9 as the sonar. With my little boat, it'll look pretty funny. Go big or go home, right? As for 5200, I planned on using very generous amounts. I watched a video on YouTube of a B60 install and the guy had a pretty genius way of using painter's tape to keep the 5200 from getting all over everything. Once it is on something, it's tough to get off.
  11. You have a PM! Sent from my SM-G900V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  12. Awesome. Just what I am looking for. Thanks for the info, Nick! Sent from my SM-G900V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  13. That's the thing I am look forward to. It better be worth it. It seems off making a huge hole right in the bottom, but if my screen shows a 2" minnow at 300FOW, it'll be well worth it!
  14. I have been looking for reviews online and I am not finding much. I just bought a Navico B60 thru hull 50/200 transducer for my Lowrance Elite 9x. Does anyone have any insight on a Navico transducer? Most websites just use the same picture as a similar Airmar, but the price is lower on Navico.
  15. I second this. I have a UniArch from FishOn on my Sea Pro and it is pretty solid.
  16. WTG! You guys are making all of us that have to work today pretty jealous. Sent from my SM-G900V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  17. Thanks for the info! I have the 83/200/455/800 transducer for my 7 with the blue connector. I am thinking of using the 7 as my gps and getting the 9 as a standalone sounder. The connectors being similar is a definite win. With an Airmar or Navico, I am thinking the unit will be phenomenal. Sent from my SM-G900V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  18. Helps a lot! By aftermarket, I was thinking Airmar or Navico. Sent from my SM-G900V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  19. I have been trying to find info on transducer capabilities for Lowrance Elite series (namely the 7 and 9). Does the head unit come specifically programmed to read only certain frequencies? The example being if I buy the one that comes with an 83/200 transducer, would an aftermarket 50/200 transducer work with it? Lowrance has a pretty good rebate on the Elite-9's right now and I wanted to take advantage of it. ($300 off!) Thanks!
  20. That was a great forecast, wasn't it? I was excited for a nice calm day and we went in around 1pm sore and tired. I couldn't even get on plane on the way back without getting beat up. I hope the engine issues are best case scenario! Sent from my SM-G900V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  21. Thanks for the report! We will be out tomorrow. Can't hardly sleep now as it was. This should help... Sent from my SM-G900V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  22. Went 1.8-2.2 for some of it, 2.4-2.8 for rest. Figured varying it would try for anything. Sent from my SM-G900V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  23. I have a controllking. Thanks for the advice. We got on the poles quick and reeled it up. It seemed like they were just nibbling today. Lazy fish!
  24. Rain, rain and rain. Setup up right out of the chute on the south end in 90FOW. Marked a lot of fish in the 40-60' area. Ran a rainbow of colors of FLT spoons and a couple of cranks. No takers, so we went up the east line along the painted rocks, keeping it between 125-175FOW. Had 2 knock offs at the 90 foot rigger on an orange/pink FLT spoon. As soon as the water cleared, the fish weren't there. Trolled up to the falls, marked a bunch of little fish in the mud water coming out there, but no takers. Ended the day on the south again, going back and forth in 90-120FOW where we were marking fish. No takers. The water temp ranged from 36.5 to 41 degrees.
