Good point. My remote some how was pushed from lima to the genny so I will always disconnect the power to the winch when done.

hey there Les. Wowzer. That is nice but wow, it is pretty pricey. Maybe I'll just find a heavy duty kick butt manual winch. Sent from my SM-G900V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
I need a new winch for my trailer. I'm running a 25 foot boat which is about 5500 pounds. Currently using an electric track winch. It worked okay but if the battery ever went dead it was almost useless to try to crank manually. The remote engage in self by accident on the way to Ontario and a burned out the clutches. So I need to either repair or replace or get a new one and I'm contemplating on getting a manual one. It is nice to have a wireless remote and I have the motor behind it but I felt that cranking could be just as fast.
Anyone that trailers have any good input on a decent winch for a big boat?

Hey Larry. I think its a great idea. I would love to meet folks and put a name with a face. Ive always thought a get together would be a good idea.
Id be willing to travel into the rochester area to attend. Some where near the river could be a spot since most of us are used to the trek
Was out there for a while also. No action but did see a few boat fish on sun AM. Best screen was 150 plus way down 110 and deeper. Everyone was really cooperative at the mouth which makes it a great day for all!
Worked 350 to 480. Few pops with nobody home. Landed one 220 dipsey with FF. In 250 headed south. Fingers crossed

Jeez. Me too. I have all my flies tied the other way. Gr8 vid. Guess i need to cut and re tie em all.
Was catching quite a bit with em but cant wait to see if its better
Had a good day but a long one. We fished eight hours and im feeling it this am
3 colors of lead core off the 80 rigger with orange and silver colors was the hot ticket
We went 9 for 10 so just over a fish an hour so not that busy
Really large lakers just before bradocks in 140 to 160
Most boats were in 110 to 130 but we didnt have any luck that shallow
Picked up a few small kings. Nothing of size.
Was tough finding any lures which were hot and consistent. Blue took a few. Orange and yellow
FF were slow. Hammer glow with white nuclear was the best
Good luck to everyone this weekend
