  1. I like the sea-flee best myself. I've had fleas clump up on 30 lbs big game. It depends on the time of year. I load all my rods up in the spring with 15 or 20. Then re-load after the first trip I get choked up with fleas.
  2. 30 lbs big game for flashers. 20 lbs floro for spoons.
  3. Until the fleas show up...I do run 15 lbs big game with a 12 lbs floro leader for spoons. No question spoons run better on light line! And 12 or 15 is strong enough (until the spawning kings get the k9 teeth/kype).
  4. I'd run 15 all season if it wasn't for the fleas. Anybody that says they run light line all year...doesn't fish Late June-August. Because you can't! Your line will look like 900 lbs test down to your release with all the fleas clinging to it. I fished a tournament last July with some guys that had 15 lbs ande on their rods. We would put the rigger rods down and 15 minutes later if we brought them up they were choked! After the first day I went and bought some flea-flicker and tied in a 100 ft section on all the rigger rods.
  5. I agree...until flea season! Then good luck with that. You can't keep a rigger down for 5 minutes without a huge mass clinging to your line.
  6. I'd tie your 30 lbs maxi to a 50 lbs spro swivel...then tie on a 8 ft section of 15 lbs (or your 20) floro. Take the leader off if running paddles/flies. If you go lighter than 30, you're gonna get tons of fleas building on your line in a few weeks.
  7. LOL. That's where i fill up if i go to Nofishco.
  8. I never buy gas on the water. I do trailer my boat. But if i docked it i would bring 5 gallon gas cans and a kerosene pump. I bought one of those battery-powered ones awhile back to fill up my sleds. Works great!
  9. Stingray NBK
  10. I got bit even with the ultra shield. And i keep my deck clean...and spray it with listerine.
  11. We've stayed out past dark quite a few times. (this was after catching fish before it got dark) Good luck to you!! We tried all types of glow stuff.
  12. What kind of boat? My aluminum Lowe has a track on the inside of the gunnells. I bought a mount that lays flat on the gunnell and has a groove that goes into the track. No flex and super strong!
  13. http://buffalo.craigslist.org/boa/4475033735.html I own a 2005 Lowe FS 175 and they are a nice boat. Not as nice as a Lund...but a lot cheaper. And they are definetly nicer than a Tracker! They handle rough water well. Very versatile: you can fish bass/panfish, ski/tube or troll.
  14. I was getting 43-57 on the surface. We didn't do that well yesterday. We fished most of our rigs deep looking for big salmon. Most were under the fish all day. Got a few steelhead, a coho and a small king. Dead bait floating all over the place on the surface. Fished 150-220. Green spoons on a split shot rig...down to 30 were the hot ticket.

  17. Was slow yesterday. We worked 60-110 fow headed to the plant and back to the college. Got a 12 lbs king, a laker, a skippy coho and a skippy steelhead. We had baits in all parts of the water column. Worked warm water...and cold water. Few marks and not much bait.
  18. I fish with otter boards. I run copper and leadcore. Jet divers are a pia in my opinion.
  19. That's dirt cheap!! I've been out on this...it's a clean boat!!
  20. We had the same type results. A few king bites on 25, 36 and 47 ft rigger. 3-color cores picked up 9 steelhead yesterday and 4 trouts on Sunday. UV hawg wild, green hornet, SSW, UV Gator, Gator, NBK.
  21. Nice!!
