    I'd definitely not let stuff like that bother you! Sometimes things are said in stressful situations...that are later regretted. I hate fishing in the "pack". I always try to stay outside or head for water that isn't being worked. You'll find more less-educated fish!!

    Convectors are pretty decent for the money. But I like the Saltist and Sealine reels, personally.

    Congrats on that fish!! Nice one!! I was having the same problem with bent hooks and fish coming off...especially on the wire rods. I usually keep my releases tighter than most. I found I had a better landing ratio keeping them looser. I had even lost one on a brand new cut bait rig with double trebles. I cut off the bent point on each hook and had a better hook-up ratio running 2 double hooks. I almost think big trebles don't easily penetrate in those hard mouths.

    You can also run a stealth rig~a 2 or 3 color lead core off the ball.

    I ran 7-strand on eagle claw rods with no twilli for two seasons before the eyelet failed. I never had an issue.

    It's an hour. All seasons and Fat Nancys both have a great selection! And they both have stuff the other doesn't. And they are within a stones throw of each other. Plus, there's other places in Pulaski that have lake stuff. It's worth the drive!!

    On a hot/calm day there's not much you can do! Washing off any fish slime or sea flies helps. Buggspray helps (till you sweat it off), after 15 minutes. I spray listerene around and that helps. But nothing is full-proof unless you wear pants or thick socks. Imo
