    I found a temp break that we worked for awhile.

    I fished out there Sunday evening. We went 1-5 on kings. Only landed a juvenile. The other fish were all majors. They would scream out some line....then just come un-buttoned. I fought one on a 500 copper to about 50 ft of copper left and he jumped and gone. That was with a double treble on a cut-bait rig. Most hits on the meat. But Hammertime got pummeled on the wire!

    Splice 30-50 lbs mono or floro with the big boards. I had many false releases on the braid.

    My elite 5 dsi has been flawless. Although I probably only use about 20% of the features. I bought the "gold" version with Navionics chip. Chart plotter is fine. I did suffer with the learning curve to operate everything for a month or so. The manual is useless.

    Just ordered some buggspray. I hope it works! I almost fell on my arse a couple times from dish soap on the deck. And my ankles are still raw from Sunday.

    I fished out of Oz last evening. Marked nothing and no bites till 7:30...then did a laker, a coho and 2 majors in an hour or so. 100-200 fow.

    It depends on how deep you want to fish. I like running the 01 with a ring but they are only rated to run to 50 ft deep. I believe (running wire) they get me down to 60-75. The Mag's with a ring run to 100.

    My tow line is 9.5 on the front and 12.5 rear. Offset the front hole for the double-keel: 1 1/8 inch to the left for the left board. And then 1 1/8 inch to the right for the right board. Lower the string holes 3/4 inch. They pull like mules!

    12 lbs sharks go almost straight down in calmer seas. Trout mans 12 lbs torpedos get the job done for half the price. I run 2.5 to 3.0 sog mostly.
