Has anyone fished or heard anything about fishing on cayuga. I know the lampreys are bad but fishing can be good as well. Thoughts and reports would be appreciated. Sent from my DROID X2 using Lake Ontario United mobile app

Stinger, those things are the reason I avoid cayuga. I have seen some monster atlantics cruisin the surface early in the spring and have seen fish tear lighter tackle up, but hate lampreys. Seneca is not that bad for lampreys and had decent success there a morning in August. Owasco was super tough this year before walleye opened. A buddy of mine tried it a month ago and was skunked. Soo unless someone can provide a decent report for owasco I am leaning towards seneca. Sent from my VS910 4G using Lake Ontario United mobile app

Looking for any info as to where the best fishing is right now. The salmon have slowed down on the big lake and I'm not ready to put the boat away. I have fished all the fingerlakes and have plenty of gear. Just want the best action. Looking for mainly landlocks and rainbows. Sent from my VS910 4G using Lake Ontario United mobile app

Okuma Coldwater vs the Cabela's DepthMaster

The depthmasters work well for spoon rods. Have fought fought plenty of fish on them with no issues. Kings as well. Sent from my VS910 4G using Lake Ontario United mobile app -

Plenty of fish out there. Just a tough year. The trench was more productive in the first attempt at staging fish, than fishing in front of the salmon river for 3 weekends. Use everything you have and keep a variety in your spread. All fish came on different colors and different presentations. Sent from my VS910 4G using Lake Ontario United mobile app -

That may be true but they have a better chance surviving in the lake than they do in an ice box. Revived and released one that seemed to swim right for the bottom on sunday. I'm sure theres some truth to lactic acid theory, but if your not going to eat it and have already kept enough to give away, watching a fish swim away seems to be the right thing to do. Keep the net handy if they do go belly up and retrieve it. Sent from my VS910 4G using Lake Ontario United mobile app

Went out last saturday. Started trolling the edge half mile before boridino in 60-120'. Caught plenty of 17" lakers and only 1 small bow and 2 small landlocks. Plenty of action just no size. First time I fished it all year so mot sure what the bows and landlocks want. Usually first thing in am is the best bet with presentations away from the boat. Hds 7 touch is awesome! Well worth it has all structurescan functions built in. Soo easy to use and faster than the first generation hds. Easily customizable as well. I will never buy anything but lowrance hds ever. Sent from my VS910 4G using Lake Ontario United mobile app -
