Best bite was at 7 pm again. We had a triple on landed 2 and lost 1 . Only 2 of us on the boat . Lol Packing up to leave today . Oh and only 1 King we boated yesturday was really dark. The rest were not. Hope this helps. Tight lines and be back next yr. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United

Went out in from 6am to 9am , 0-2 both on Dipsy. BUT returned to the lake at 6 pm totally different bite. The fish were on fire. All fish came on Michael Jackson spin doctor downed by a green squid fly... 100 ft of water down 75 ft. Temps were diff then yesturday prob do to the weather but non the less they were right in the 45-52 deg water. I tried meat , spoons, and diff types of flasher fly combos until I put on the combo above . It was obvious with in the first 5 min that they liked that combo. Bite lasted up to dark them we ran in do to the bad clouds on the horizon . Hope this info helps u guys. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United

Headed out the chute at 5:30am . 2 kings and 8 brown kings wouldn't touch the meat today so switched over to white/green dot flasher with green fly. And both kings came on that. 70 down over 115. All the Browns came on same spoon as yesturday in 50 Down over 70. Back out in the AM for the kings . Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United

Went out to 130ft in the am .0 for 3! For some reason this morning all three kings only on for a min then came unbuttoned . Same set up as past 2 days. Slipped into 60 ft and put 8 Browns in the boat. All on spoons down 40 ft on riggers . Back out for dusk and same issue ! 2 hits and after first run GONE. Heading back out in the am. Fished all day yesturday . 5 kings 1 brown. All fish came on white spiny with cut bait. Down 80 over 100 and 275 dipsy. Did see 2 schools of tailing / porpoising kings. One school was a dozen or more 10 feet off port side as were trolling west out of shoot. Cool to see some HUGE fish in that bunch. Headed back out this morning. Will up date tonight. Sodus 9-10
Jbasile replied to wicked salmon's topic in New York Fishing Reports - Lake Ontario (South Shore)
Just spent last week in sodus. Managed a few kings out in 120-170 on the first couple days. Decided to move into 50ft on day 3 and things really heated up. I ran white w green dot spiny w green atomic fly at 40ft and mag green latter back on other rigger at 47ft. Also ran 2 dipseys one on each side both smaller brown spoons . All our fish were east of the bay in front of the cliffs. Lots of dark dark kings and tons of Browns. It was my 1st time fishing sodus. I will be back next yr. -

Just got to my rental tonight. Headed out early AM for kings , steelies . Touched base with some Lou members a few weeks ago looking for advice and have noted everything that was said . I'm wondering if any one has any new advice on where I should start once I get out the break wall? Thx

That's some very helpful info. I'm excited to try a new area. I know I will have to put my time in there like any other part of the lake but the info you guys are sharing will help a ton. I will monitor ch9 and reach out for some info and also share info with u guys if I stumble onto some fish . Fingers crossed fish and lake are cooperating ... I will be in a 23 ft pursuit, boat/radio name BALLDRAGGER...

Thanks guys for the info. I will give it a try this yr. Any more info on where to start once we get out the bay? Or is it the same as oswego. I usually head out to 80-100 and work from there. Oh and is there any hazards I should know about coming and going that bay?
