Right now im thinking I added oil and the problem was solved. If it returns I will chase fuel issues.I replaced my vro pump when i bought the boat.

I went out after filling my oil tank and boat quit twice with straight gas as soon as we hit the water, switched to mix gas for 10 minutes or so then back to straight and it ran fine for an hour till we quit. Went to Ontario on sunday and spent the day on the water with no more issues. I can find nothing about a low oil shut off but I think that was the problem

I had my 85 vro die several times yesterday at cruising speed. It would start right back up and go a few hundred yards and quit again, I realized my oil tank was very low, but I think I have an oil alarm. It was just like someone turned the key off, I was able to stay running as long as the bow didn, t come up, I think oil was low enough that when bow came up oil went to back of the tank and caused a cavitation. Does this sound possible or do I need to look elsewhere? I am going to add oil and go test.

I was out today and things were slow, what we di get was on 6 color core with a green black spoon. A feww of the ball at 27,75 and a few on seth green, state launch to bluff on a south troll then zig around back.

I, m no expert but I used a split shot and haven't lost it yet. It doubles through the spool first.

I was there sunday , first one at the public launch. We got 5 hits for the day, 2 small 18" steelheads and one 26" steelhead all off 6 color core down the middle. The other 2 hits came on a 30' downrigger and we lost both right at the back of the boat, I, m not sure what they were but both times my girlfriend got the hook caught in the net with the fish on the outside. She was bummed, any netting pointers?

I have 2 antique trout lights that hang on the boat rail .I am looking for information on these old lights. They run on white gas and were used in the finger lakes for night fishing with sawbellies. Looking for their value and manufacture.

I fished a derby last fall on Keuka, It had a BBQ after in hammondsport. Are they having it again this year?

I saw a guy go right between them,as I went out around, guess he was lucky not to snag the nets.

was out of severne yesterday and i noticed several bouy north of the launch. They said dec ,anyone know what they are?

left to fish sodus in the dark sunday am, when I got there the waves were pounding over the breakwall so I headed down to senaca to give it a try. I launched at severne and crossed to the east side and trolled towards watkins. Just off a big point on the east side the diver rod starts ripping line and my prize was a brown trout just under 10lbs, a nice male with a hook jaw. It is my biggest fish other than ontario stuff. It was over 230 fow caught on a dipsy, spin-doc fly combo let out 178 ft. I will try to post a photo later.

I work in bath and would be willing to do an afternoon run on keuka. let me know if your interested.
