You can most definitely catch them from the beach, channels or inner coastal waters. The best time to fish is during the moving tide. Top water , swim baits and tubes work for me, I have also bought blood worms and eels too, which work great. You ll need two ounce diamond sinkers if fishing live bait from the beach. I'm not sure what optimum temperature is but I was getting upper 50's. And it seemed as though everyone was fishing one rather small area. We didn't bother moving but it would have been interesting to see if other spots produced as well Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
