Yes - it turned out to be a nice day for the teams and it was nice to see everyone at the weigh-in. I'll post weights when I get back at the marina on Tuesday. Thanks to all that participated! See you next April or you can stop in during the winter to share some fish stories. We're open Tuesday through Saturday all winter except around the Holidays and around the Rochester Boat Show which is Feb 2nd through 5th. Maybe we'll see you there! Ted

Are you getting into the Seager Marine perch tournament on Saturday EDAY? -
Looks like great weather for the tournament. Must sign up by the end of the day tomorrow! Weigh-in at 3:30pm at the pier, with refreshments and fish stories. Stop in or call with a credit card.

Spent a couple hours fishing the north end yesterday. Wind was a pain since I was solo. Picked up a 7# rainbow on an FLT spoon down 60' over 90' and a 4# brown on leadcore 8 color with Sutton. Some weeds but not terrible.

I heard that the ramp at Seneca Lake State Park is OK with about 3' of water. -
FYI - Lund has come out with a new fishing boat for the shallow water fisherman. It's called a Renegade and comes in a 1775 or 1875 model. It's basically a bass boat. The hull is designed with the typical Lund reverse chines, a flat center pad, and a full length center keel so it should be good in the deeper waters as well. The boat has nice livewell placement, loads of storage, good maneuverability in shallow water, and tons of deck space for casting. They have National Advertised Packages set up and you can get the 1775 with a 60 Hp Merc on it for $17,395 plus freight and prep. Seager Marine currently has one in stock with a few options for $21,500 (plus tax) out the door. Come check it out!

That's one awesome fish, Les and Mark! Luckily I didn't have enough time to fish so I didn't get entered!! You truly deserve the win. I've never seen anyone on this website that is as open and helpful as you are to everyone. You certainly put your time in and it finally paid off. Come see me at the marina some time so we can chat! Getting ahold of Finger Lakes Tackle?
Fbog12 replied to codybuehler's topic in Finger Lakes Discussion
Same issue here. I ordered a bunch of lures, charges went to my credit card, but waiting for lures to show up. Tried emailing with no response. -
The next Seager Marine perch tournament will be this coming Saturday (4/30/16). Team tournament (1 to 3 person team), $40/team, full payback. See details at seagermarine.com

We had a great turnout for the first of our two spring tournaments today! Weather was really tough but we had 11 teams tough it out all day long with shifting winds, rain, sleet, and even a little snow at the end. They were all happy to get in and warm up, snack on pizza and wings, and tell some stories. Highest weight for 5 fish was a whopping 6.39 pounds. Biggest perch was 1.87 pounds. Second, third and fourth place dropped off to 4.99#, 4.29#, and 4.25#. It'll be a real challenge to top that 1st place total, but we'll see what happens at our next tournament on April 30th. The weather has GOT to be better!!

The Lund Spring Catch Program will be coming to an end on March 31. Stop in to Seager Marine now to take advantage of the savings. Rebates up to $2500 on 2015 and 2016 models. We have plenty of boats in stock to look at. Come in and figure out which one is best for you!

Seager Marine will be holding 2 Spring Perch Tournaments this year on Canandaigua Lake. The first will be on April 2nd and the second will be on April 30th. These will be team tournaments (1 to 3 person). Entry fee will be $40/team. Watch our website for details and registration forms. Let's hope this weather continues and the perch fishing is as good as it was last Fall!!

Just went out a couple weeks ago from Southbay Marina near Vanderbilt Beach. Did pretty good on backwater charter with Capt Rainey. Kept pretty busy with red fish, sheepshead, snapper, and black drum. Good eating!

As I said, the fish were in about 100 fow, but that was a week ago. Not sure where now, but probably in a bit shallower. Watch out for high winds tomorrow, supposed to be quite breezy!

Still looking.......

Thendara was better than Tichenor for me, Les. Around 100' fow. North-south and south-north trolls both worked. Good luck!
-
Do you really think it'll draw Sk8man away from the perch? I heard the perch fishing is crazy good out there. Was that you that went by me down by Tichenor?
-
Went for probably my last trip of the year. Fished Tichenor and then across to Thendara with riggers. Finished 7 for 8. No real size but a good variety - 3 lakers, 3 bows, and a brown. Mostly FLT Bob Barker Special down at 65. Bows and brown came on the sliders. Fished from about 945am to 1245pm. I was solo so I kept pretty busy. Good thing the weather cooperated and winds were down! Beautiful day on the lake for November 4th. There was even Christmas music on the Canandaigua radio station. Very strange!

Any details on it? Price range? I'm looking at one down in PA, 1992 1700 with a 60 hp on it for $4900. A little bit high but it's got some stuff on it. How old is the one up here? I'd rather stay closer to home for sure. Would he be willing to sell now?
