    I've got a 1997 Penn Yan Rage. When I advance the throttle to start is and let it warm up, I bring it back to neutral and it doesn't always go in gear. The mechanic replaced the lower shift cable that had a "flat" spot wore on it. Everything worked fine until Sunday when it would not go in gear. I shut it off, advanced the throttle back and forth several times, started it up, and it worked fine. Any ideas???

    Just installed a Lowrance on my Penn Yan cable steer. Super easy install and it works perfectly. I highly recommend.

    Max hp is 175, with (2) adults we get 37 mph at 3/4 throttle. No idea on the hours, 90% of my time I used the kicker. I've owned it for (4) years. Barrets Marine on Seneca Lake installed the auto pilot. We re-sealed the lower unit last year and the cylinders that lift the big motor were replaced. thanks John
