Nice! That red rock brings back memories here too. There used to be a rope swing in that area, that you could swing out into the lake. Good times. Early 90’s I would say. Congrats on the fish.
I found a picture. Not the greatest. The head of the TM is probably 6” In front of the cleat. I secure the head with a small strap so it doesn’t bounce around. Hope this helps
I have a fishmaster 196. I removed a 60” powerdrive and installed a 72” Terrova. Powerdrive would pop out of the water often with fairly small waves. 72” is perfect. No problem with windshield.
Looks like a nice project. Motor is sweet. One of the best upgrades I made to my boat, also a 19’ is to install a bay star hydraulic steeling kit. Cost maybe $700. It has made my time on the boat way more enjoyable. Just giving some input. Good luck with the project
Whaler1 . Thanks for the reply. I fished for a couple hours in there today and didn’t move a rod. I did have a decent screen and I had spoons and flys right in their face!! I knew it was a long shot but I wasn’t willing to drive deep today. Good luck guys
Whaler1, I’m curious, you caught fish in this range today? 80-120 fow was 72 degrees from top to bottom. Good luck Slow&Low. Weather looks good for tomorrow
I was out today between 65-120 fow. I have been having problems with my Fish hawk, so I was basically just messing with that and doing a little fishing in between. There is plenty of bait in these depth but there wasn’t any fish that I seen. I caught one small Atlantic. The down temp never got below 60 degrees. If I head out tomorrow I will be going deeper. Good luck
It's a digit in the latitude of gps numbers. Example and I'm jus making these numbers up. When you leave the Oak your location is N43.14.75, W 78.32.45,. So in this example, the "14" will increase as you drive north. So when you get to N43. 29.75 your at the "29" line. Also known as 500 foot of water. Hope this helps Sent from my E6810 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
"P. S. we plan to crush it!" This honestly made me laugh out loud. I love the enthusiasm. I hope you do crush it. Good luck. Sent from my E6810 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
SOLD ..SOLD 2 Sealine 47H Work properly 1 Daiwa Accudepth47lc works properly 1 Daiwa 47SH works but not great 2 Daiwa Sealine Great Lakes Work but not great. The three reels that don't work great were taken out of circulation on my boat for various reasons. Drag is bad or can't reel in under load. They work on the bench. The rods are all 8'6. One is missing the butt end. Pick up only in Lyndonville NY. I am not shipping. I am not spltting up. If I have trouble selling as is , I will relist separately. I didn't take the helm apart or anything but after removal I could hear it and feel it. Just to clarify removal from the motor. I cut the cable, pulled out 5 inches from the motor and cut again then the rest came out. Hope that makes sense? I installed baystar hydraulic steering kit rated for up to a 150 HP motor. Cost like $600 to $700 I think. Super easy to install. Comes with a new helm. Installing the new helm is the hardest part but it's not bad. When you remove the old helm you have a 2" hole. New helm is 2.5". Well the only way to make a 2" hole 2.5" is to get a 2.5" holesaw on an arbor then screw on a 2" hole saw as the guide. Go slow and it works great. Like I said, I think it's the best upgrade I ever did to my boat. Been on there at least a year now. Sent from my E6810 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
I have an 04 StarCraft Fish master.. Same issue as you. I cut my cable for removal and installed hydraulic steering. Best thing I ever did. After removing the old helm and cable it was easy to realize the helm was the problem. Sent from my E6810 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
Maybe without him we can get the mallard limit back to four. Nothing like smashing birds over bait when so many populations are allegedly on the decline. It's patchetic, selfish and his actions are arrogant! Sent from my E6810 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
I put a Baystar in my boat with an outboard last year. Very happy with it so far. Pretty easy install. Sent from my E6810 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
