Hey guys new to walleye fishing. I have been fishing trout and salmon on Lake O for the past couple years but my limits how far out I can go. With the lake "flipping" I don't feel like taking my 15ft whaler out deep.
Just looking for some tips as far as tackle and maybe a few places to launch from. I have down riggers on my boat and a few sets of inline planers.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks guys and tight lines.

This may be my last post on here ever.
J/k well lets see how this goes. It should be interesting to say the least.
Going out of Sandy Creek haven't seen many reports lately for there but hey we'll give it a shot.

LTB two canon swivel bases, the two low profiles I currently have are cracking! One of the plungers on one actually pulled right out of the d@mn thing yesterday!
thanks for looking
Had about 30 minutes to spare last night and grabbed these two out by Rochester. Damn it was windy last night

I also used Steve Tillich great experience and price. The turnaround time was awesome! Had everything done the next night. I will definitely be using him again.

Thanks might give that a try any particular part of the lake better than others? Also what is the prefered method? I am so used to trolling for salmon. I have never fished for walleye other than from the shore.
I have heard Ibay holds some good walleye if you can find them. Are there any other places in the Rochester area that might be good to start out? Oh yeah using stick baits and worm harnesses.
So far 4 or 4. 3 Alwives and 1 goby. One of the alwives might be going to the taxidermist.... not sure yet. The other two are average size. The goby is currently being sundried for a late breakfast.
I'll update as the day goes on
