Wind picked up here as soon as it got light. I saw 2 does stand up from where they were bedded mill around for about 2 minutes and bed back down. Hopefully it improves by tonight because I have to drive to lake George for thanksgiving tomorrow afternoon. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United

Too make this morning more enjoyable the same buck and doe were coming back to the spot they were before except there was a small 6 in the spot waiting for the doe. The big buck chased her out of there and I got a good look at him in my scope this time. I'd be confident in saying he goes 150" easily. My hearts in my boot right now. Left this spot for gun in 8F and only had been here to check cams and doe hunt the first week of bow. Had 5 does come by in different groups and a lone doe that wouldn't leave one area. It's a really brushy spot about 50 yards from my stand and I started paying more attention to the spot thinking she was probably locked down with a buck. It's a backyard kind of property with a creek that separates the property from the neighbor behind wouldn't you know the "lovely" neighbor comes down along the edge of the creek on his 4 wheeler and blows the doe out followed by a big shooter buck. So great morning for me so far. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United

Threads been down for a while but I've thought about this one a lot for some reason. You shoot a deer right before dark on the last night of bow season but you're not confident in the shot and wait until the morning to look. If it's a buck which tag do you use bow or gun? If it's a doe and you have no doe permits do you use your bow/muzzleloader tag or is it coyote food (by law not morals)? Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United

Pap I live just outside of Lake George in the Adirondacks and my grandfather owns a couple thousand acres. There's a reason I choose to hunt WNY (besides going to school in Oswego). There's more deer and more big deer. The Adirondacks produce some big bucks if you ever see one but most of them get shot as 1.5 year olds because the state has the "park" so regulated that there's hardly any logging and old growth doesn't exactly provide the forage base that deer populations need to thrive. A majority of the big deer you'll seen taken up here are from south of the Thruway and/or west of 81. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United

Definitely not a decision I'd wanna have to make. Today is supposed to be the top deer movement day of the week and I have yet to see anything after light. Could have something to do with the doe I bumped out of her bed at the base of my tree however. Stuck with the stand though because I figured changing at that point would only stir up the woods more. Saw 1 doe this afternoon and had to stay in my stand late because of a bunch of chasing going on around me. Waited for it to stop and got down, walked about 50 yards and whatever deer were still there blew and took off. Probably blew my spot up but I'm gonna give it one last shot in the morning. Tomorrow will be 2 years since I've shot a deer but hoping to match that days success with another 130" 10.

Had a real big shooter come by just before light and watched him go into the woods. You could imagine how pumped I was when 3 does come blowing out of the woods right in front of me 15 minutes ago. Got up and ready for the big boy to come out but nope they were being chased by a year and a half old 8 of course. At least they're definitely moving this morning here.
