Was up in Dexter on Saturday morning, almost no water was flowing over the dam. There were some fish over by the boat launch area but you needed a boat to get in the area where they were. Ended up at a small creek off of Route 3. Kids hooked 2 very nice salmon. Sunday went down to Pulaski at the river, crazy as usual but the kids hooked up often and land 4 so it was a great weekend. Very long walk to get to a not to crowded place.

I am taking 2 young kids up to the black river area for their 2nd year of Salmon fishing, ( last year they caught 4 ), Anyone know how the fishing is in that area, Pulaski was mobbed last year and the Power House wasn't an option. Would appreciate any input or hints. . Thanks in advance

Hi Everyone, I am new to the forum and I am wondering if my 17 foot searay is big enough to take safely on the lake. I fish often in the raritain bay ( NJ ) but only deal with 3 to 4 foot waves. And when is the best time to take a boat out, late spring , early summer, late summer? I usually fish at the Powerhouse or the black river in Watertown, in early Oct. But I am looking for next years trip already. Thanks for the help
