  1. Nice. Sandy is a great port for fishing. He has quite a few docks newly built and waiting to float next spring. For this season the launch was my dock. I noticed the water dropped quite a bit the past 2-3 weeks. It was a bit of a fiasco pulling it yesterday solo. A lawn chair and a beer and you could have had front row for the entertainment. Time to get the Blue Fin set for some I-Bay perchin
  2. Thanks for the info guys. I'll be coming out of Sandy Creek Marina so the launch won't be a factor. My first year docked in Sandy so I wasn't sure if it gets sketchy this time of year in the channel. I was out of Port Bay the past 5 years and that channel can change fast.
  3. Looking for one last ride the day I pull it out. Havent been out in a few weeks. What is the depth like getting out of Sandy Creek? Thanks
  4. Rolmops-near Hamlin Thanks Brian, I was wondering if they did that.
  5. Steelie, Where are you located? Interested in looking at selection Tnx
  6. Moved from Port Bay to Sandy this year. I am looking for a place that does shrink wrapping out Sandy way. Any help would be appreciated. Gonna miss being just across the bay from Hank's place.
  7. I've built about 15 rods and you will not save money. But you are usually using better components and get exactly what you want. Labor wise they are time consuming unless you are very experienced. The first couple you do are a learning curve. A lot of technique details that need to be learned. If you want custom butt wraps you better have patience to start. Aside from my boat rods I only fish what I built for myself now though. Def satisfaction fishing what you built. First rod I built was a cheap Cabelas UL kit. That rod has caught more fish than I can count. Ugliest damn rod known to man.
  8. Are these still available?
  9. You will only lose whatever oil is in the filter when you remove it. The rest of the oil will be down in the oil pan.
  10. Same out in Port Bay. Thermocline was at 150 down. Lookers but no takers
  11. You could try Port Bay Marina and Campground. Vinnie 585-737-4052. He has a couple slips open I believe.
  12. So it's pretty embarrassing when one of your friends hears about how your weights were stolen off your boat and then walks back to your bait well and pulls them out. Which causes you to suddenly remember your bright idea to put them there. Oh the pain. I am hoping that you actually can fix stupid.
  13. Thanks, I may be interested but I would like three that match. Who sells those if I wanted the 3rd?
  14. I would be interested in three 12s. Do you accept paypal?
  15. I am located in Walworth
  16. Good info, thanks!
  17. Someone was kind enough to relieve me of all 3 of my 12lb torpedo weights. I guess they were concerned about my fuel usage. Looking to replace them with either 12 or 14 pounders. Tnx for looking, Jack
  18. No south wind until Sunday either.
  19. Thanks for the reply, I have one coming already. I will keep these in mind as possible back ups though. Are you in Fair Haven often? I fish out of Port Bay and could always pick one up in Fair Haven if I opt to keep a back up.
  20. Thanks for looking. Appreciated.
  21. Looking for a new or used prop for my 70hp Evinrude. 14x17 but I believe 13.5x17 will also work. Thanks for looking If the plural of goose is geese, why isn't the plural of moose meese?
  22. Done deal, I'm in. I am hopefully splashing on Saturday and doing a quick shakedown. I'll call you about Sunday.
